Abrams turret bustle ammo magazine which was overall an adventage was turned into a huge weakpoint due to mass use of fpv drones and lancets. Abrams turret is huge and full of ammo and the roof is not armored, it;s very easy target for drones. Meanwhile soviet tanks have ammo on the floor of the hull and the roof is also protected by reactive armor and a cage nowdays so the drone has to overcome cage/air/reactive armor/turret roof/air before finally reaching the ammo while in case of abrams is just blowoutpanel on the roof and ammo just undearneath.

I stated this on a past video of yours, while yea it’s completely true the M1A1 is outdated. But the way these tanks were destroyed was by mines, artillery barrages and drones. There is no tank in the world that can survive this. Once a tank is disabled they are abandoned and the crew escapes. Which then allows the tank remains to be taken by the enemy. I’m an American, but it’s pretty clear the media was overplaying the deployment of the Abrams. Tanks are tools and will be lost in battle like everything else. The M1 is completely capable and perfectly fine for battle in Ukraine. But tanks are vulnerable to artillery and drones, so it was lost simple.

Accent reduction takes a lot of practice. I know because I have worked on my accent reduction for Russian. When I started following you, I thought you were American. However, when I heard you speak Russian, you definitely sounded like a native speaker. So big compliments on your accent reduction. Russophobia is very real. I was born in 1960 (We were the generation trained to jump under our desks ) It was very clear that the Russians were our enemies. This was amplified by movies and TV and yes I was greatly influenced by Boris from Rocky and Bullwinkle. By the late 1980's a lot had been forgotten and there was a hope we could normalize relations after 1991. That obviously never happened and things started going south in 2014. I was in Moscow in January 2022 and hoped to return in March. Well that didn't happen and I went to the Polish- Ukraine border in March of 2022. I still want to come back to Russia but I am frankly a little scared about the state of affairs. I think the environment vis a vis Russia is much worse than the cold war. Russian hatred is acceptable and often encouraged. So many Americans rallied around Ukraine and you would see Ukrainian flags flying here in the US. Lastly, the Ukraine war will change the shape of modern warfare. It doesn't matter what tank you have when you have cheap drones holding armour piercing shells. So who cares if the Abrams are outdated or not. Until good anti-drone technology is developed, any tank is vulnerable. Love your channel and I hope you will do a deep dive into the life of young Konstantin.

He talks plenty how they are a big upgrade and superior to anything currently on the battlefield on both sides. RealReporter added a short excerpt here from that video. Then in his reaction video he states the tanks destroyed on the battlefield are outdated and compares them to 1980s computers. They cannot be both superior and outdated at the same time. It is the spin he puts on his thoughts that is the issue here and makes it look absurd once you watch all of the related videos.

@@8wayz2shine actually they can be both superior and still outdated. Outdated doesn’t mean useless outdated in terms of the modern equipment that the US has. The abrams sent to Ukraine were the ones used by the US in the 90s in wars like desert storm, the US has only upgraded their capabilities so those tank have been retired and outdated. Also still the abrams tanks is superior since the majority of both Ukrainian and Russian tanks have been old Soviet tanks produced in the 1970s or even older. The Ukrainians abrams still offers a higher level of survivability to the crew than even the Russian T-90.

What a lot of people don't realize is that the M1A1 tanks the us sent were upgraded to M1A2 standard. Including second Gen signs and, most importantly, the 120MM main gun. So they are not "outdated," they are very much competitive tanks today, and most countries would happily take that tank if they could.

In all the conflicts they participated in, they were burned even with very old Soviet weapons. Even in Yemen, they burned Abrams of the best modification that the Saudis bought, they were destroyed from old Soviet ATGMs.

Here in Vilnius I went to the 'captured Russian tank' I looked for the numbers that you can actually identify where it came from and went it was built. Turns out not here in Vilnius but ALL other cities where such 'Russian' tanks were placed(which btw ppl brought flowers to) all their ID's were missing,removed on purpose,you know why? Because they were taken from local soviet museums/dumps,they dont let you see soviet monuments they removed in a museum,they just hid it all in a dump. Also all those tanks they displayed were old soviet ones so it might have been taken from Ukraine.

Regarding KZbinrs giving out their name: it depends on their content. If you're making gaming videos, it's just a fun fact. If you're doing reporting/political commentary, I'd argue it's good to know, for the sake of clarifying your experience/possible bias, etc. For example, I always wondered why the pacing of your videos was so nice (and your narration, too), especially for a smaller KZbinr. But, according to many sources from both sides of this conflict, in such situation both sides prefer to launch second strike on vehicle. So enemy can't evacuate and repair it.
