I've just joined a trawler and it's the best decision I ever made. I absolutely love the job and the comradery.... Nothing beats it

I just joined one and im honestly so nervous to go on my first trip on the 17th and reading this honestly makes me feel a little better about my decision

First trip went well! I just wanna say thank you man for the encouragement it honestly meant a lot at the time. And i can also confirm the job is incredible, people wise and just job wise:)

I feel every respect for anyone coping with this way of life. I feel seasick just watching , yet Ben has not really complained. What a tough job. I I’ll appreciate my fish dinners forever.

Educational & well told...control over time allowed for prawn fishing is a good environmental measure...trawler fishing can be detrimental to the ocean sustainability as the “babies” are also hauled and discarded...yes respect the fishermen

I fished in the 80,s on the Bering sea was young and foolish then, dangerous work wouldn't recommend it, if you want to go to sea try the merchant,train as a cadet a lot safer.

I fished there too, what buddy said about his first time out about hating the thought of it is spot on but now for some reason I miss it a lot and am thinking about going back
