As someone who has decided and is going into the field of Corrections to become a correctional officer, this documentary has to be my favorite. It's extremely heartwarming that these inmates were given a chance to redeem themselves and they actually improved and appreciated the help. This is an incredible idea because those inmates were given the opportunity to be human again. This is what will help the prison system. People like Byron Garcia who truly care about what they are doing and who they are helping. Anyway, the thriller part made me cry the first time I saw the video. The genuine joy and fun on their face. Thank you and keep dancing!

I'm from NYC The Bronx and I've been outta prison since 2005 , I got older and tier of being locked in a cell !!! So in 2005 when I completed my parole , I decided that I wasn't going back to prison anymore and since being out of trouble meaning no more drugs or alcohol !!! So when I seen this video about a week ago , I seen this video and it made me cry for joy of happiness !!! To see all those Inmate's dancing made me think if only here in America it was done it would be so nice to see prisoners locked up doing something positive !!! Being that there isn't any types of things to do in prison , then all it does is it gives an inmate to think about hurting other's , doing drugs like I was !!! You know what ? Whenever my ex-wife would send me her hard ernd money so that I could go shopping at the commissary store , no instead I sometimes would do drugs in prison because I didn't wanna feel anything , I didn't wanna be locked up so my mind tried escaping from being in prison after 9 year's ! Anyway forget about me , those guy's who are really trying to change their lives I sincerely praise them and I wish it was done here in America !!! Thank you for sharing this ❤️🙏 lovely video !!! It's the greatest idea I've ever heard of and seeing it being done in real life is 💯👌 the best idea a Warden has ever come up with !!! Peace , love and much respect to all those young Men who participated in that video !!! Thank you God bless 🙏😇 you all !

I think this Warden is a incredible man. He had no experience in running a prison, never mind a prison with 70℅ deadly dangerous men. He was serious about wanting to make a change, from corrupt guards on down. Brilliant. Probably for the first time in these inmates lives they have been introduced to doing something positive, and get to experience what self worth feels like. Now That can become habit forming, I hope each man wants to continue in life.

Prisons here in the US can learn from this. This is absolutely phenomenal. It's changing the way each of them view themselves. They're feeling a sense of self worth and accomplishment, aside from crime. Sadly, young men here are still tucked away for years in solitary confinement, with minor drug charges. There's little to no rehabilitation in US Prisons. God bless you, Mr Garcia and your sister, the Governor for your contributions to the betterment of so many lives.

Please do a research about DAVAO PENAL COLONY and CORRECTIONAL INSTITUTE FOR WOMEN in Davao Region. Inmates are given the opportunity to work in a banana company given a lot of benefits. Some inmates can work even without escourt guard, they can just report to work and back to their jail. And some inmates were get hired by the company after they get free. So touching story were some inmates able to send money to their families and send their children to school while they're in jail.

The aerobic exercise they get from dance stimulates the brain, that's what has made all the difference in their attitudes. Exercise stimulates serotonin. What an amazing transformation in the morales of those prisoners.....this man has created beauty in what was mean and run by gangs. What a good man. I cant believe how happy these men are and i hope he will share his methods, his magic over other prisons.......this was wonderful to watch these men dance!!!!!!

This is healing! Out in a sun and fresh air, with the music and a sense of cohesion. That’s it!

Jailed for six years and no trial? That kind of broken can't be fixed with dancing.

Helped, tho! Better than how it used to be. Warden can't fix a corrupt system all the way, but at least waiting in prison, is easyer, not easy, much better, than it used to be.

Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance. 1 Corinthians 13:7. It is through hope that light begins to shine, and those that are in despair are the star of their own, miracles begin to happen. Their sentences might be shortened, and Mr. Garcia is working on solutions. This is not Humpty Dumpty, this is human life, and we are greater than eggs. In Christ all things are possible, not man or woman, but Jesus Christ.
