Amie can I just say that as I am going through your tutorials (not started one yet 😊) I am more and more amazed at what I find. Your just on another level to other tutors I've watched. I drew that same lion from Pixabay last week, then I just stumbled onto this video tonight. Yours is much better than mine, but I think I did alright. It was my first time trying to draw a furry animal with colored pencils. And my first time using Faber-Castell Polychromos so I learned a lot about those. Much different experience than Prismacolor. Lots more layering and gotta take your time blending. But I really like how hard the leads are. They kinda feel like drawing with a regular graphite pencil but with color.

This is such a great tutorial series love it. I've been trying to follow every detail. So I purchased the 36 colored pencil set hoping it would have all the same colors you used to my disappointment it only came with like 5 of the same exact ones you had. Do you know what set comes with ALL the same pencils you used? I've been driving to multiple stores to buy a couple at a time to get the exact colors xD

As far as I'm aware, the only set with all colours I used is the 120 set. You can buy pencils individually which is much cheaper :)

😞☺️ Being a wee bit jealous makes me a teeny bit sad in the best possible way. I drew the face of a lion with a wee lamb right under his chin and I do not know how I could ever make it look that amazingly photorealistic. Perhaps it is because of trying too much or too fast. 😅 I once had someone watching me draw if I was a hyper-realist. Sometimes I do wonder how a person's perception plays a part. Drawing From The Right Side of the Brain is a course book I found here in the States. Definite recommendation. Yeah, I know, because of where I live, I just have to draw or paint Abraham Lincoln someday. 🙄 I'll do it while I listen to the soundtrack of the tear-inducing movie Glory someday. Does Amy render people too.
