Fareed’s point is that, due to the electoral system, the winner of the presidential race will basically come down to roughly 50,000 people in 4 states (Georgia, Arizona, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania), residing in exurban counties (rural vote red, cities blue). Fareed will also further stress the point that those 50,000 people will in essence determine and shape current and future geopolitical events such as the war on Ukraine, and the rules-based international order led by the US. This is a critically important issue in view of how the isolationist and nativist the Republican Party is becoming, and how destabilizing the withdrawal of America from the world would be. -Fareed Zakaria on the Prof G show

He needs to stop referring to every group of people as his brothers and sisters. They're not. Voicing support for other groups is fine, but making statements that imply he's "one of them" will just piss them off. That, and it just sounds fake and patronizing.
@robo50138 ай бұрын
@@MultisportOfficial Actually we need more people to call our fellow citizens our brothers and sisters. We are all supposed to be one family and love each other as such. @suomynona4607 BOTTOM LINE; Adjusted for inflation, the Rich have gotten Richer and the Poor have gotten Poorer with every administration since Ronald Reagan including the Clinton administration and the Obama administration and now the Biden administration. That is a trend that is the undeniable truth. Bipartisanship didn't change that trend during the first two years of the Clinton administration or the first two years of the Obama administration when Democrats had CONTROL. Biden's administration may have had a slim margin in his first two years, but DID NOT fight for policies that would have made a difference. This trend will not change as long as we have a CORRUPT CRONY CAPITALIST TWO PARTY SYSTEM that is """CLOSED""" to economic fairness. What happened to the "Fight for Fifteen" as an example? With every economic negotiation, the Poor, Working Poor, the Disabled, and Senior Citizens are being pushed further and further into poverty. Again, adjusted for inflation. A inflation that has now made $15 a joke in metropolitan areas across this country. Sure, the Republicans have been COMPLETELY bought off, but this economic trend could not have been accomplished without collusion with Neoliberal Corporatists in the Democratic Party. Bipartisanship is the shared CON.

After meeting Dean multiple times in person in Manchester NH, its interesting coming back to these early Bill Maher videos. Most notable that you didnt see here is that he went to Trump rallies outside just to talk to Trump voters to hear their issues. He was upfront and told them he wouldn't pander his policies, but that not enough Democrats listened to the other side of the aisle. From there he even invited them to his rallies as long as they were respectful. I saw him at two events. At the first, a MAGA hat heckler had to be removed from the room, at which point the others standing with him apologized to Dean (who was answering one of their questions) and the other they cheered for him and thanked him for not pandering to them but at least hearing them out. He is oddly honest to the point its off putting but his heart does seem to be in the right place. Especially he directly shot down the third party run as he doesn't want to jeopardize the white house, but wants a younger head of state and also to force debates to happen. The most impressive thing I saw was the at same rally as the heckler. Two candidates also on the ballot question ambushed him, and instead of kicking them off he invited them on stage, let them pitch themselves to voters, and asked why they ran. This was at his event, with a very high likelyhood of those attending to vote him, yet he potentially risked that pool to hear the other opinions in the room.

Why don't they just get someone else to cover the days he' s out of town recording his show?
