I needed this. After over a week of all day hunting without success, really got down and frustrated after my last years success. My second year bow hunting but trying to keep it fun is a good mindset and enjoy God's creation. Thank you for for that and all that you do, sir! (including keeping Christ in your videos)

The Mental part is definitely a big part of Hunting. I started hunting this year, I’ve gotten lucky to see deer every time i’ve been hunting. I dreamed that it would be so easy to shoot a deer. It isn’t. I don’t mean this negatively but lower your expectations so that you’re prepared for the worst but if something goof happens it will be great. Good luck to all hunters this year.

I really needed to hear that first one right now. It's been such a promising week but ended in failure every night.

People rely on trail cameras waaay too much... Post season scout, read the sign, and put the puzzle together for next season. Good luck

All great tips. You just put many years of experience into 18 minutes of tape. You are a dangerous man in the deer woods.

I have trail camera and solar panels on my property. I have one camera that I had to put lower on a fence post. 90 percent of the deer don’t care. Every single buck 41/2 or older will come in a few times in July, but after that, they don’t like it. I’ve seen them sneak in while watching the camera. Eat for a few seconds and they’re gone. So just a heads up, don’t fully trust your camera when it comes to mature big bucks. They could be avoiding it completely.

IDK. I have heard that cameras scare deer, because its square, an unusual form. But I catch deer on my cameras all the time, up close, even staring into them as the red light goes off in the dark. I have heard that if you go to your property a lot, the deer become inured to your scent. It becomes normal. My personal opinion is that if you are hunting public lands, this might be good advice. But what I have seen is that during the rut the deer here, in Texas on my ranchito, the bucks are like every male in high school. They will do the STUPIDEST SH** in the hopes of getting laid. I'm talking walking by the blind in broad daylight fifteen feet away. Just sayin...
