The best detailed installation video by far on KZbin par none. I have watched countless other videos before attempting my own. This one takes the cake.

Thanks for the video. Can you please explain why you didn’t install the front spacer ?

I moved the right side step so the end cap (of the rear mounted idler) is at the mounting bracket...so about 3/4 of an each from perfectly centered. After this adjustment I did not have any interference from the pinch weld (it was hanging-up previously at the radius of the pinch weld bend ).

Great video! I have the original powerstep with only the one motor on the rear, driving both the rear and the front linkages. The motor is acting up not extending as far as it should on the rear, but allowing the front to, oddly enough; partially because the rocker panel has corroded in the front and only has the top bolt holding it up, allowing the front linkage to swing, and the board to be cockeyed. I'll be installing another rocker panel to fix this. After a few times of this, the running board popped of at the rear only. What I noticed is that the sliding back plate with the female threaded holes for the allen set screws didn't have any threaded female holes, just a flat piece for the set screws to push up against, which again seems odd as the ridge that the running board sits in doesn't seem wide enough to offer resistance for the allen set screws to tighten up to. Has anyone experienced this as well?

Will this application work on the 2021 Ram Power Wagon? I have been told that there is something under the body that wont allow the XL to be placed.

Thanks for the detailed instructional video, the best on KZbin regarding AMP Research installation. Although mine is the Tundra, I learn a lot from your video.

Can you touch on what you did with the pinch welds I've done a hundred of these dodges and the pinch weld always causes the step to hang up are you grinding the pinch weld also there has got to be a better remedy. I've even started building stoppers so the step don't go all the way up

Great video, I'll be ordering those for my 2021 RAM 2500 in the next few months. I like the looks of your 2500, what size tires and brand are you running on that beauty and lift/ level. Thanks for the info, Navy Mark...

Is there a way to wire it up without using the OBD II?
@Realtruck2 жыл бұрын
Hey there! Unfortunately not, but Amp-Research also makes a pass through harness that you can use if you want to also run a tuner/monitor or anything else that requires an open OBD2 port. :)

Do it. You can do the install one step at a time as you see fit. That is what I did. One day I did the first step for all 4 corners i.e. installing the bracket inside frame, doing the pop rivet, and nutserts. Took about 20 minutes. Next day I bolted the mounts/motors/steps on. Took about 30 minutes. 3rd day I did the wiring. That took a good 2hrs. I took my time, strategically routed everything under the hood/firewall.
