How to Install Amp Research Powerstep Smart Series on a 2019 Ram 1500

Spoke with AMP tech and they confirmed this video is incorrect and negative should go to fender wall like instruction guide states.

This video is outdated…there is a newer version of this product for 2019 Ram 1500’s. The new style removed the need for replacing the bracket, but also moved the connection to an inaccessible spot. I had to remove the motor from the linkage in order to install the motor connector. You can save yourself the headache by running your wire harness first, install the linkages, then connect your power before installing the motor. This is only a problem on the drivers side. I had no issues with the passenger side. Hopefully AMP will update their instructions.

What’s a problem if you run emissions and unplug under the dash, and now they won’t do anything when you plug it back in. Seems nobody has talked about this issue lol
