New animations are clean. A pet peeve of mine is the removal of the punches tho. Feels uneccesary to remove them. I get they may be seen as "out of character", but sonic has thrown punches multiple times (Sonic The Fighters, Sonic Battle, Super Smash Bros. etc.)

Yeah, speed alone can't beat *E V E R Y T H I N G* that's like saying Shadow didn't need his chaos abilities(blast/spear/control)or Amy didn't need her iconic hammer or Silver didn't need his telekinesis powers or Knuckles didn't have to be the last remaining echidna or Blaze didn't need to be a princess *AND* have fire abilities(her name is "Blaze" for a reason)

Some of these animation changes are actually really nice, but some are strange or unnecessary. IMO seeing sonic just stand there in combat with his arms crossed is just off for me. I get its the whole confidence thing but it just doesn't work for me. That said, the changes to super sonic are pretty dope.
