Just to clarify the power of that last spell: In the previous atomic spells, the purple bubble had a small range, focused on the main targets, but the blast was huge and covered a massive portion of the cities. But THIS bubble covers practically the whole city. Leads one to believe that this could have not just taken out the city, but a huge chunk of the kingdom as well had he not directed the blast up towards the clouds.

yeah i had the same thought. to add to that, the blasts that did leave craters went way up into the sky and we don't even know high they go, so the volume of space the blasts cover seems much greater than just the size of the craters. like what if the energy wasn't directed upwards but outwards in all directions? i feel like even the small bubbles would wipe out the entire city and more. he just put up that big bubble to make his point as clear as possible.

I said this before: the man Cid played with them like a kid pulling wings off a fly for fun. This man was a menace, the alpha sigma, and the most disrespectful part was he wasn't going at them 100; he was toying with them. The funny part is that he got under Iris's skin and made her agitated to use a Mythril blade. That was a crutch; the girl wasn't confident about how evil this man played mind games. Right in the capital of Midgar kingdom and its knights protection assisting an open assassination is staged, straightforward in mocking the Midgar's capability as a reliable ally/guardian in global politics. She is the future ruler and has to consider these facts brought to her and even her pride as a warrior is shattered by a smirking apparently Mundane man 🤣😂, props to Cid for destroying international trust alongside causing societal chaos just for wanting to show off and throwing mud on Iris efforts to regain trust.
