I gotta admit, despite it not being op or anything, O'l painless is one of my favorites. So many Super Mutants use hunting rifles and I have really fond memories of just running and gunning and repairing while I cut a bloody swath through DC.

Perferator is my favorite weapon for stealth builds. You get so many cool uniques from the steelyard. Leather rebel is my favorite outfit very mad max inspired

Mine is the Backwater Rifle - give that to Charon or Butch, they will make short work of anything in your way with a Gary 23-load-full of free 10mm rounds.

@@stoneylonesome4062 butch gets the backwater rifle. Charon gets the terrible shotgun. Clover gets the skiskabab or the victory rifle.

3 was my first Fallout as well. I still dig it a lot, even if i like New Vegas ever so slightly more.

I feel that 3 is just a “tighter” experience and megaton and tenpenny towers are unrivaled for me in terms of “comfy home base”.

@@fulltimeslackerii8229 the thing I dig about 3 is you can never quite predict what you'll run into, whereas New Vegas is usually a lot more static and predetermined. The randomness factor is always fun.

Having the stock removed for the Perforator makes some sense for Power Armor, given one likely wouldn't be able to shoulder rifles easily, I imagine. I don't mind that change too much, adds to that 2000s tacticool look, I guess. lol

Surprised and glad that someone has some love for the perforator! I would have added the Tesla cannon and Gaussrifle though. So ridiculously ammo efficient, powerful and fun. Cool list as usual

Good list. The Xuanlong Assault Rifle, Callahan's Magnum, and A3-21's Plasma Rifle are my personal favorites

The only two rifles are prefer in Fallout 3 are the Xuanlong assault rifle (that’s Chinese for “the black dragon” btw) and the Victory rifle due to having the ability to knock enemies down upon criticals.

I purposely picked pyromaniac for the firelance on an energy weapons vats build. Also got the Xenotech perk from Mothership Zeta. I have seen a video where a guy triggered random A encounters at the Anchorage Memorial to make sure he got it. I love the Firelance in the late game now with all those perks. Repairing with epoxy since it degrades very fast, though.

I really love Shishkebab! You can get it early in the game and even without Pyromaniac, it does pretty impressive damage. Plus who doesn't love fire :D The Chinese spy quest sure is fun but my absolute favorite in Point Lookout - and even in the whole game - is the Krivbeknih & Dunwich bulding quest

I originally played this game a lot on Xbox360, and the weapons I used most then were; Lincoln's Repeater, Chinese Assault Rifle, Gatling Laser. But I've just been playing it on PS3 to get the Platinum trophy, and trying to do things a bit different (and avoiding energy weapons, because the PS3 game is a shit-show). On my recent playthrough I'm mainly using: 1. Dart Gun 2. Combat Shotgun 3. Bottlecap Mines 4. Nuka Grenades Having never really used the schematics weapons before I leant into them hard this time. Early on I was having fun with the Shishkebab and Railway Rifle too.

Are you able to get the Perforator without mods now? My last FO3 playthrough was a long time ago, but back then, part of the scrapyard had collision off and you couldn't get the last few steel ingots...

@@windwalker5765 from what little I understand, that particular glitch is apparently tied to the Point Lookout DLC. I seem to recall having success by saving right before that point on the roof where the ground gives way and reloading until it works. It's a pain in the balls, for sure.

Small reminder for people playing on PC to use Unofficial Fallout 3 Patch or its updated version, among countless bugfixes the Zhu-Rong is affected by pyromaniac and... it's still terrible dps overall especially considering how hard it is to get compared to other uniques, if you want the best use of 10mm nothing beats the backwater rifle with its 45 dmg and its 90% max crit chance.

I can't use unofficial patch because steam version is 1.7.4 however unofficial version need fuse 1.7.3 I need to downgrade game but I don't want too many problem

The rock-it/junk jet have a significant problem in that their ammo has weight. Fun but not at all practical. Once you have killed enemies with teddy bears and old prewar money it loses its appeal quickly.

It looks like you're running the game too fast, my guy. You gotta edit the ini file to match the framerate of your monitor or else the game will run too fast and break the physics.
