One of the best Reaper vids I've ever seen. Learned tons of stuff from this one.

So many thanks to you for your superior efforts, when it comes to the awesome content you post. If not for you and mr. kenny I would only be a mediocre Reaper piolet.

I’m a former Cubase power user and my favorite thing about Cubase was always the mixconsole. The mixer in Reaper is quite nice as well. I’ll definitely be putting all of this to heavy use. 🤘

Wow, Jon! This is golden. Thank you. I think I could use REAPER every day until I'm 150 years old and still learn something new and amazing about it. I can't understand why anyone would use any other DAW except for FL for people who want to kill real music and Nuendo for film scoring. How is Avid still in business? Pro Fools is the second biggest scam in existence.

Is there a way to get a control surface to ignore hidden tracks? They say that Klinke has a "folder mode" but I can't figure out how to use it.

Check CSI in the Reaper forum... Amongst other things, you can tell your control surface to follow MCP or TCP. I've not tried hiding the tracks, but I have enabled the "show parent tracks first in MCP" thing and now I have all my busses in my first channels on the surface! Mixing is not much faster.

In Pro Tools, in mixer view, it's possible to select multiple instances of an effect and bypass them all at one time (for A/B auditions). Is this possible (in mixer view) in Reaper? I've made multiple attempts to figure this out, with no luck. Thanks!

When i add a instrument, i get a channel on my mixer, and then i place effects on that channel. But i always add SSL channel strip to every channel i get. Is there a way that that will happen automaticly?

Hi. Thank you for all the videos you make about reaper. It helps me a lot, thank you very much. Let me ask you, how do I get the "group" view in the mixer window? I mean, you have the channel groups separated by color and looks like they have a kind of separator between them. How do I get my mix window to look like yours? thank you
@TheREAPERBlog2 жыл бұрын
SWS Autocolor. I set up a rule to make folders a different layout. Tracks in folders automatically get the color of the folder. Layouts are configured in the Theme Adjuster

I was looking everywhere for how to change what the modifiers do to the FX in the mixer and couldn't find out where to do it. I just happened to have this tab open and thought he might cover that, but he only shows what the default modifiers do. I'm almost certain I've changed these before. Anyone know how you do it?

I have start and stop with space bar with some plugins that arent native. Or compatible fully. When I had reaper 64 and 32 bit plugins that would happen so I installed reaper 32 and wala all works now with play stop space bar.

Great video - I think the Mixer doesn't get as much love as it should because Kenny's videos do not feature it very much - definitely not as much as yours. At least that's my perception. I like putting the mixer on my 2nd monitor. Perhaps a future video can show the best usage of a 2nd monitor for increased workflow and adjusting the layout to suit (ie removing the redundant stuff)?

I never use the mixer. I'm not sure exactly what it does that the track panels can't do, and to save screen space, I just use one.

@@TheREAPERBlog thanks for yyour answer, I would rather expect „move“ without pressing any key and „copy“ by pressing ALT, because in macos that‘s more common

we really need ( add fx to selected tracks ) , so we can add for example ( tape machine ) to all selected tracks at once without having to assign a shortcut to a specific plugin.
@durbodill3 жыл бұрын
Wouldn't you rather make one FX-Track an then send multiple tracks to that instead of applying the SAME effect to multiple tracks? Would probably put less stress on the CPU as well...
