Once again Kenny, you opened this old dinosaur sax player to new dimentions. You are a great teacher.

I have used a few different digital audio workstations and Reaper is my favorite so far. I am trying to soak up as much knowledge as possible about the DAW in a massive effort to make my music and live my dreams. Thanks for all of your help, Kenny.

Now, what if you put reatune on a vocal track, and then sent that midi date into reavoice that's on a track with just field recording? It would take on the melodic shape of the vocal if you added resonance to the track at the pitch of the starting note of the melody. . . might have to try that.

funny, i find his voice actually causes me anxiety; his cadence/inflections, especially towards the end of sentences where he constantly pitches up, is incredibly annoying
@amandajstar3 жыл бұрын
@@Taylor_King I find it less annoying than baffling. And it's not just for instruction: The voiceover tutorial featuring Mr Gioia's reading was identical to his style in presenting the DAW. I couldn't speak with such regular and predictable patterning if I tried!

I'm trying to do this but getting no sound, any ideas? Following the exact routing, and getting signal coming out of my MIDI track . No output on the audio track with ReaVoice though

add an arpeggio from your keyboard and you get a perfect stutter effect

Hi Kenny - loving the tons of videos you've produced for Reaper. I came originally from Pro Tools, and now I'm using Cubase but there are many ways in which Reaper suits me better. However there is one huge stumbling block that keeps me from making the full switch over. The need for a really solid vocal editing tool included in the program. Something like Variaudio? Reatune/Reapitch? isn't really an alternative for me... Do you know if there's anything in the pipeline? As soon as they sort this I'll jump ship with no backward glance :-) Thanks again for all your hard work - it's much appreciated.

Hi Kenny, as always THANK YOU for your videos! One question: When I go to follow the same steps you have here on one of my mixes, I don't hear anything. Some point after I set up the MIDI channel, I no longer hear any output, regardless of whether I'm hitting a key or not. I'm sure it's something easy I'm missing, but can't seem to put my finger on it. Thanks!

bro can you please do a video on how to do harmonies to vocals without midis and all cause I'm not using any kinda instrument plus I'm a beginner. so please help
@D-One7 жыл бұрын
You don't need a "instrument..." Just write the MIDI data by hand in the piano roll.
@574x97 жыл бұрын
Alt + B opens the Virtual MIDI keyboard so that you can play the notes on your computer keyboard. Right clicking a key sets the center note and arrow keys move it an octave. A tip to make things simpler is to right click it and select "Send all keyboard input..." When you want to use regular key commands, just use Alt + B again to close the keyboard.
