The comping…WOW 😻 I sing a lot on my recordings and am often wishing I could mix takes with little hassle, as not all of one take will be how I like it. This is what I’ve been looking for

Thanks Kenny, I have to get a spatula out of the drawer, to scrape my brains` off the ceiling and the walls, because you keep blowing my mind. (and Reaper) Wow.

Been using Reaper for six years. Glad you started a refresher course because I am learning things I have misplaced in my mind from when I did the crash course to get started then. Thanks Kenny.

Addition of Lanes made Reaper the best DAW for recording. So much more flexible than before.

What’s the difference between lanes and takes?

That recording into lanes trick really helped me hone in my skills! that's amazing, thank you sir!

I have to certainly save this as a favorite. I think playing a different lick for each take would have been helpful, adding in a fabricated mistake in one or two takes to truly show how the comp works. We also did hear the audio prior to and after the punch region. However you are dealing with enough cables and settings making these tutorials that hopefully most of us still get the point of what you are showing us.

I like the multiple takes, lanes, plus you can get the parts of the take - comp it.

These 2 videos are about recording audio, but they seem to be more about "punching in" and "punching out", and I don't know what punching in and punching out are, what they are used for, and why they even exist.

Kenny, excellent tutorial! Is it alright to use an external drive to save all information instead of storing all files on your hard drive? Your suggestions please.

Can you please give demo on macros in Reaper. How to create and use it, ✍️✍️✍️

I don't understand why punching in is creating a new lane automatically? Does punching in require you to comp it into the old take? that wouldn't make sense?

I can't wait to learn how to make artificial intelligence with all this unnecessary shit, so much unnecessary information to record two tracks, it's just hell.
