exactly..thought he was gonna run around screaming at men and punching women in the collarbone by video title. instead, all he did was try supremely hard not to be as boring as them. that's all. he tried to carry the show on his own, to keep us viewers from going to sleep. and he barely even pulled it off . fuck you lot, this was useless.

I’m 46 and I did but can also listen to 60,s 70’s etc. The young ones have no choice as there are fuck all decent bands and hasn’t been for years. I grew up with Inspirals , Mondays , Roses, Charlatans, The Smiths ( mid 80s) circa 89/90. When I was 15. Then had the proper dance scene with proper drugs then Oasis who’s only album I liked was their debut and some decent enough bands around “ Britpop”. Now it’s shit. Cant believe there’s still a dance scene. Kids nailing 10 Es. In 91 2 New Yorkers, white biscuits / burgers, phase 4s, Denis the menaces, flat liners, shamrocks absolutely hammered you. One did.

Obviously the crazy dancing but sadly he was a tortured soul who died very young. I like a few New Order songs but I just find Sumners voice a bit weak and not as much charisma. “ Dance , Dance , Dance to the radio”!

No New your right New Order with Summers singing not as strong by any stretch loved the movie control I think many of the meds Ian took was part of what killed him I believe they caused depression as valium is used as seizure med and it causes depression .

Very clever and articulate fella. Legend. First saw The Verve at V98 in Leeds or V97 , it was the same year Urban Hymns came out anyway and they were fucking belting. Top drawer. Great band , shame about Nick McCabe as he was a genius too but had his demons.
