I dont believe it was the intro that the Stones "apparently" wrote. It's supposed to sound like "this will be the last time" by the Stones if sped up. It's all a load of bollocks that the Stone's manager claimed, and poor Richard and the Verve lost the battle, but have now won the war.

Richard Ashcroft - I have listened to you from I was in single figures. My mum and dad used to have The Verve blaring through the floorboards at 4 o clock when I was in primary school, while they had a drink with there friends, I used to hate it. Fast forward to now, I'm 30 next year, and I now have my young son awake at night, blaring your fucking phenomenal songs though his floorboards, and when he comes down, I always look at him and smile and say son, songs like these will live long after I am gone, and aslong as you sing them at the top of your lungs, a part of your grandad and dad will always live inside you, and that's what FU***NG GREAT MUSIC IS. Thanks for all the memories. Love from Ireland 🇮🇪

Wow what a gorgeous live performance of a stunning song! I was hesitant & wondered what it would feel like without the strings but this version is even MORE moving!! I'm so happy you are well my friend Richard. Thanks for sharing your experiences with us all. This entire set is magic. You sound even better with age and time!

This is BETTER than the original, WAY better, and the original is one of the great rock songs of all time! The band's groove, Richard's performance with all it's nuances and dynamics all in aural display! The original is so slick and processed and much of this is lost in it. This is LIVE music, where the SOUL is the most prominent instrument! So freaking AWESOME!! Kudos Richard and band! Rock on!!👍👍👍
