It’s freaking awesome to see how far you have come in a rather short time. I’m not sure how you see these older videos but I enjoy watching the Puddin we’ve come to know and enjoy emerge from the early days of the Guy almost scared of the camera and the judgmental attitude of people. Love the channel both of them

Dude, you are freakin rockin it! I've been watching the build so far and I am amazed at what you're able to do out of your garage! You are truly an inspiration to me. I have a 1966 Chevelle Malibu I am doing a frame off restomod on. So far I have the frame down to bare metal and have welded a boxing kit in it. I have all the suspension components purchased to make an awesome handling machine. I also have a SBC 427 stroker motor (565HP) with a modified TH350 auto trans with a gear vendor overdrive system. Once I get that all done I will start on the bodywork on the car (which won't be much). All that's left is everything else... LMAO

See I learned something. If you dont go all the way end to end with the bead rolls, your metal at the ends is wider than the metal in the middle because of the takeup caused by the beads. Thanks. This is good stuff.

That’s a good idea for a unibody especially. I really considered bolting this floor in but I think I’m just going to weld it. I’m still not 100% sure. I’m not going to finish it until I build the rear suspension tho.

If you bead roll the back side lightly first you will lesson the distortion in the sheet as you pre stretch the metal so when you roll the face it will not distort half as bad Try it

Thanks for the idea. Think I might try on my project if you don't mind. But I have a question for you. You said it was 4' wide. When you do a bead roll or even shrinking does it take away from the total width? If so how do you compensate for it? Meaning for how ever the bead roll is wide or deep how much would you add back into the equation?

I notice that you have an English in the backround. If you pre-stretch with the wheel on the lines where you going to bead roll. It will reduce the distortion of the sheet and reduce the need to then shrink the edge.
@PuddinsFabShop
@PuddinsFabShop 4 жыл бұрын
The throat of the janky grizzly English wheel is not deep enough to run the panel through. I usually pre stretch when I bead roll. To get that panel through it I’d have to build the new frame for it.

It’s hard to describe. But if you watch some of my first videos to the ones now they are very different. Figure out how you want to make your videos and what content is going to be in them. If you read on doing a successful KZbin channel there’s supposedly all these tips and tricks. Well none of them have helped me. Even tho I was trying them all. I started just focusing on my content and steady posting and it has helped. It would be easier to describe just talking versus typing for me lol
