Great video thanks, I was able to replace both in under 45 minutes following your instructions. Both struts need to be removed in order for the window to remain in place while replacing hinges. That was a valuable piece of info as I found out!!!

Tip - Do not tighten the Torx button screw too tight. I did and the brand new hinge just shattered around the white metal threads. I am going to drill out the hinge and put a stainless steel nut and bolt for a temporary or maybe even a permanent fix.

What is that plastic washer hooked looking thing called between the new hinge and interior of the window around 10:05 in the video kinda hooked plastic piece your wiping mine broke off way more corroded than the one your replacing

What is the part name that holds the defrost wires and bolt goes through? Mine is broken and can’t find them.

I watched a different video like this and he did not show how to remove the struts as detailed as you did. I mistakenly removed the c clip all the way. Now I have to figure our how to put it back on. Any help would be appreciated.

I have one that is horribly corroded. The T30 bolt is fused to the glass, any advice on getting it to come free?

I hammered mine out but broke the hooked plastic washer thing can't find replacement

@@petermicakovic9615 Both of mine broke right in half bc so corroaded. My window is duct taped at the moment. Im scared to try to do any of this. My fear is the window exploding if I have to hammer it out. Did you try to use rust remover spry at all?

@@susankokas6257 no just a punch and hammer tapped few times out they came I have a spare window though in shed but my car got totalled by hit and run in March so don't need it anymore got extra hinges as well I bought like 3 sets a while back still have 1.5 of them

Mine too. I stripped the torx bit hole on the lower interior button bolt as it was fused due to corrosion so my next step is to drill it out with increasing size drill bits until I can get it separated and removed then remove the top nut which was easily loosened. I did the left one a couple of years ago with little issue but the right side is putting up a fight.
