I love the ease of this seat. Are you meant to leave the minikid leg shortened before getting the tethers tight (in the same way you did with this besafe stretch)?

Yes, that's better in all tethered seats. If you drop the leg before you do the tethers, you can't fully tighten them.

Nice Video 👍 Is that a Grand C4 Picasso? Which model year? we have a Grand C4 Picasso from 2017. Thanks to the video so we can see that the seat fits in the car and how to install it. Have you perhaps tried installing the Axkid One in the car? We will install the child seat in the middle seat.

Yes it is, mine is a ‘16. The one fits fine too, to be honest, I’ve never tried a seat that didn’t fit in my car.

Can this seat be positioned in the middle of the rear seat? Or must either be on the left or the right of rear seat?

If the middle seat of the car is wide enough it can go there, but that is not the case in every car.

Is it okay to use a mat under the seat? Also is it okay for the seat to have some movement? I had minikid and wasn’t able to move it at all when it was installed and I’m getting some movement with stretch.

Yes, a mat under the seat is fine. If you install the seat in this order it should be solid. 1. Fasten the seat belt and pull out the slack. 2. Turn the know to fully tighten the belt. 3. Attach and tighten the tether straps. 4. Drop and lock the leg. When you test the seat for tightness, only try to move it at the bottom where the seat belt is. It should be tight there, but a small amount of movement at the top is ok.

That won't fit in every car, but if your car's middle seat is wide enough, then yes you can!

Considering buying this seat have a Kia eNiro and ford focus. But wondering as leg length goes out is there still room for someone in the front seat?

Hi, There are five legroom settings. In my car, a Citroen C4 Grand Picasso I can extend it all the way to the 5th setting, but in most cars there isn't enough room for 4 and 5. I have fitted it in plenty of smaller cars including a Vauxhall Corsa, and it fits on the 3rd setting with enough legroom for me (5'7") in the front.

Well, I just found it at an independent Danish test institute. It's 44 cm, which is really nicely narrow

That is the maximum width of any R129 seat, they aren't allowed to be wider than 44cm, and are unlikely to be any narrower, so they're basically all 44cm wide.
