Hey party people! Thanks so much for hanging out with me while I share with you this new around the house happenings style video! mom life and all that good stuff we just chit chat and hang out while I get some stuff done around the house, a get it all done style ish video. I needed to change out all of the bathroom stuff to the kids' new bathroom, and clean out the existing bathroom for the smaller kiddos! I got some laundry done, prepped some breakfast, tidied up around the house and shared with you some thrifted finds, I think maybe haha I know we did a lot of hanging out and jammed out to some alanis morsette!

Side note, if the dryer vent ended in the closed up wall... you may want it checked out. That's a lot of moisture being pumped into that closed space. You can get mold. Better have someone look at it.

I go outside periodically and make sure the amount of air coming out of the vent doesn't change. Mines easy to deal with though, it's fairly short and goes to an accessable crawl space and out. No walls ect

In Scotland alot of thr old house aren't built to have a dryer the way the us has don't get me wrong houses been built now are. But In my house I'm in Scotland I live in a tiny 2 bedroom bungalow my dryer just sits in the kitchen the hose goes out the window but wee never leave anything plug in apart from out freezers eveyhting gets unplugged so when we use the dryed the lint cones out the hose so u never get that build up . However my dryer plug did go on fire 2 years ago on Xmas eve lucky it had a safety thing to it cut the electricity off x

I would think that vertical vent pipe , even connected, would have a problem with micro lint collecting over time at the bottom where it connects to dryer. This would need to be checked and cleaned out often. Remember to always check pockets of clothes too, people, because just yesterday a woman and her daughter barely escaped their very small home because a lighter was left in a pocket of pants and dryer caught on fire. They lost their two golden retrievers and cats and the house is total loss.

I just solved our sock problem. I have 9 kids. I had the same problem with the same color as my 14 yo wears 13 in men’s and my 3 year old wears 10 toddler. Anyway, it was a nightmare sorting the sizes. Anyway every kid gets a different color. Found a 50 pack on Amazon that is for my middles that all wear the same size. Then grey, white, and black for my oldest kids. I have 4 boys that are that size so I did one long black and one short black pack. Anyway they each have a lingerie bag with a zip tie to hang near the dirty clothes hamper. When full, they zip and run it through the wash. They have another empty that they put back in their room and they leave clean, dry socks downstairs on a hook so they can grab em and go

Hi, amazing video! I was crying with you when you were telling the stories about your girls. I had those with my 4! 2 girls & 2 boys! I had them within 6 yrs & now they are 52, 51, 49 & 47. So I do understand, like wanting more babies, but then they are a lot of work. I remember when my oldest was old enough to stay up a little longer & so we could talk about things it was so nice to be able to do that with him! We still are very close today! Thanks for sharing! I have an idea for the hallway walls... Get pics of each of you at the same age. I would do poster size because those walls are huge but you can choose whatever size. Just make sure each pic is the same size. Minimal frames because you don't want the frames to get the attention. Your kids will love seeing all of you at the same stage of life. Just an idea. Totally love the videos. You get me through my week. All of your kids are amazing in so many ways. Lots of talent to be proud of for sure. My hubby's family had a fire when he was little and they lost everything. He is still scarred by that and he stays on all of us about everything. So thankful for him and his loving heart. Idea for the hallway: Have a cute line wire/string with mini clothespins. Then, as the kids do art, you have a place to display it. It's not on the fridge, temporary, and, to your point, "minimal effort, maximum reward."

When my kids or grandkids went outside to play in the snow it was very unusual. I put the clothes they were going to wear outside in the dryer. They gave them some extra warmth when they went out. The clothes they were going to wear when they came back in were heated up from the dryer also. Oh, sorry this is so long. When you live in Georgia it may snow once or twice a year. Or not at all.

About washing the socks, you could get every kid a laundry bag. Let them put their socks in those and you can just wash the bags with socks in the washing machine and after that, put them in the dryer. That way you don’t have to sort them afterwards.

🤣🤣🤣 Alanis Morissette yes! I wish she would go on tour. Kim cracks me up and at this point in my life she's the only KZbinr I keep up with. Kim keeps it real❣

Your kids are so talented! Maybe you can hang a long piece of wood on the hallway wall, so that they have a space to hang up their art.

I burst out laughing when Avalina shoved her face into the cake! That was so funny! 😂 With my 3 children's socks, I used to get them to fold them together when they took them off to keep the pairs together, and then I would pin the toes of the pairs together with baby safety pins and then hang them up. I hated sorting socks! It worked very well I must say. Kinda saved my sanity lol.

The new hallway seems like a great place to hang the kids' artwork... a picture rail with hanging hooks to easily swap it out and personalize the space (without taking up a ton of space)

You could get some large framed pictures of each child to hang in your hallway. I like getting ours from Smallwoods. 💕

HI Kim you make my heart smile. You could put your family pictures on that long hallway wall. They would look great there. Have a wonderful day. Blessings to you

Avalina did so good! I totally get the mom emotions. My youngest just turned 5 and its so sad to know I don't have a baby anymore but then also so nice to be able to just watch them play at the park and not have to chase them around. Love getting my motivation from you Kim!

Again I say you're very authentic and that's so appreciated. Thank you! I would place art in those walls. Wait to place something more permanent perhaps in the future when you have given some thoughts to it. Art can always be taken out but permanent features might not be so easy to remove.
