Rearranging My Minichamps Formula 1 Collection (Including New 2021 Models -

Hi guys and welcome back to the channel! My Minichamps 2021 F1 Models have finally arrived so that meant it was time for an update! Unfortunately I'm a little short of space so my display room required some rearranging before adding the new models. I thought I'd film the process for you to mix things up a little bit. I hope you all enjoy. :)

Yes, I did plan on that but I wouldn't have anywhere to put them then and love displaying my land yards too as its a cool reminder of the past. Maybe I'll have to do it in a couple of years but not right now. 😊👍 Glad you enjoyed it too, something a little different to the usual update I do. 👌

Man this is amazing! You have so many F1 models! I am more used to diecast airplanes scale models and you reminded me of a forum member / youtuber who has thousands of models, all arranged by airlines from oldest to newest. Thank you for sharing the video!

@@TheMoaningYorkshireman People like you and him literally have museums in their house. It is so nice. His youtube name is "Yesterday's Airlines". (same for his website and Facebook) Probably he has ~2500 1/400 models and he made a collection overview at the end of last year before he moved from New Zealand to UK. He also makes detailed videos per airlines.

This is a very-very impressive collection and unfortunately that little closet/room don't make them justice. I hope one day you will get a nicer and larger room to display them more. All things considered, a fantastic collection. Well done!

I want to start my own collection of F1, what would you say is the best scale thats still pretty detailed but that does not cost an arm and a leg?

@@kimmicalifornio8119 1:43 is a decent "beginner" scale and if you can find the Red Bull, Ferrari and Mercedes collection at your local Costco, you are onto a good start. I decided very early on only to collect the World Champion driver/car and any fellow countryman (danish) that might make it into F1, so the 1:18 scale works great for me - since I only have to buy 1 or 2 per season and not perhaps the entire grid.

I buy them from a variety of places. EBay and CK Models are my regular go to. All models come boxed as you see them in this video. ❤️

Thank you. 😊 My favourite 2021 car at the moment is the Alpine, its absolutely stunning. However I'm pretty sure that will change to Williams when that arrives. 👍 Spark models are the better models and I like the presentation box each team comes in. They are cheaper too so if you're just starting your collection then it would be a good place to start. 👌

Incredible collection! I have seen you older collection videos before. I am actually kinda jealous. 😅 At least i have a few of the models as well. I am just collecting select models of drivers/cars i like instead of full grids. My favourite 2021 car design wise is the Gulf Mclaren. Instantly preordered the Norris Model as soon it was available from Spark. Overall favourite 2021 car is the Alpine of course

I will definitely get the Haas to continue my Mick collection (i have the 2021 car and even have the 2020 testing car and his Championship winning F3 Car. Still missing his F2 car) I also plan to get the Bottas Alfa Romeo, maybe my first Looksmart Ferrari (probably Leclerc) and either the Albon Williams or the Vettel Aston Martin. Can't decide on these yet

Oh yes, definitely get yourself a Mick Haas to keep that collection going. 😊👍 The Alfa Romeo looks awesome doesn't it! 😍❤️ Of course I will get them all from 2022 but mostly looking forward to the ALLLLL Pink Alpine from the first couple of races if it is made as model, reminds me so much of the Force India and I loved that team. 😊❤️

Yeah the wheel covers on the Alfa are amazing, love them! 😍 I have a supplier who puts all my orders in for me and does the leg work, I just pick them up and pay him money when it's due, takes the worry out of not getting the models etc. as he works directly with Minichamps and Spark. Only one he's ever missed out on is the Mick Schumacher regular race car without the special box but that was so hard to get hold of.

Wow nice collection! I've started collecting some models from drivers I like. Do you maybe have some info if burago is going to make w13 mercedes model, since i can only see spark models around. Spark model is not cheap so im looking around if there is an alternative 😅

Thank you. 😊❤️ Its great to hear so many people are starting to collect models, it's a great hobby as you always enjoy finding a model you've been wanting and they're almost certainly an investment for the future. 👍 In regards to the Mercedes W13, Bburago will be releasing them in 1:43 scale but not until 31st March 2023. Because they're a cheaper die-cast brand they have to allow Spark and Minichamps to release there's first and they can release it after them. It's all to do with licensing. The only exception to this is of course Ferrari as Bburago have the full licence to produce those where as Spark and Minichamps don't. I hope that helps and happy collecting. 😊

Joshi, haven't you got even ONE of the UberCollectible Ferraris, maybe Surtees or Mike Hawthorn? For us, it's even an extra layer of abstraction. I've seen an actual KZbin Recording of a Yorkshireman who claims to have a dead cat in a red box. A Ferrari that spins out, or understeers. A bit Schrödinger's Ferrari I mean cat. Or a Red box with Mattia Binotto inside & u hafta open the box to observe if he has chosen the winning or losing strategy. The outside of the box says "Ferrari Wins" according to Mattia Binotto, as a clue.

That's correct, I only just have enough room for the Minichamps models so the Spark models are behind them. A shame because I like them but I have to prioritise somewhere along the line. 😊

Can these cars be detached from the base plate and do the wheels spin like Bburago F1 cars ? Do you know if the Mercedes car (product code 13332183) on F1 store website is a Spark or Minchamps ? Thanks

Hi, yes they can be detached from the base plates and I believe the wheels do spin but not freely, they're mostly cambered for a more authentic display piece so can sometimes catch on the brake ducts and other parts of the bodywork, things like that. Hope that helps. 😊

@@84ateo27 Depends on what model you want. Some of the late 90's and early 00's models you can pick up for around £20-£30 the more modern ones from 2012 onwards bring anything from between £45-£80! The prices have rocketed up in recent years.

From my supplier, obviously I've been collecting for such a long time I meet people who work with various companies and he gets them me each year at a cheaper rate than they are on eBay for example. CK Models based in Germany is a good website to get newer models from at a good price. 😊
