When I got an ebike 15k miles ago, I bought a camera for my bike. I did not like the setup, so I returned it. They may have gotten better since then. I instead bought a third eye helmet mirror. I am so used to it and I pretty much know what is going on behind me. I ride my wife's bike with mirrors and never use them anymore. I wish they had a heads up display in the goggles, now that would be fun 😀

I just got the set and presently have it charging, I too have an ebike that I needed rearview for. I found most all handlebar mirrors would have my shoulders in the way and the scooter scooter I built has mirrors but they only help when I sit on the seat , when I stand to ride kick scooter style they are useless and get in the way. this kit looks to be the answer to the issue for me. I will be able to set up the monitor so that I can see it sitting or standing. Thanks for the informative video, guess mine has a really low battery it has been charging since I got it earlier today and the light is still red. I use BMX handle bars on my ebikes so there is plenty of real-estate to hang it on.

It’s been over 20 years since I’ve rode a bike. Getting back into it. Bike ride number one is done, now I need to keep with it. I got a nice phone mount, and then started looking at what else is out there. I’ve got this rearview camera in my cart, but first things first, I need an extension tube because I’m sitting too low.

Can the camera be de-attached from its mount? My e scooter doesn’t have a “bar” in the rear… so I’ll need to Velcro mount the camera by itself to the rear wheel fender.

im too tired to calculate this in my brain, but when you showed the packaging in the camera and the words were backwards, that is because then it will spatially match what you see on the left, with your physical left? etc?

Do you have a rack on it? thats the obvious place otherwise under the seat

@@darlam40 ah i see your point, there are some ebikes where the camera is not a good fit, you'd have to run the wire along he site with tape or vinyl wrap i guess

My biggest complaint is really the magnification of the cars, kinda hard to see till they are right behind you

I will also install passenger seat on the Rad Runner 2, meaning the rear camera should not be at the seat post but all the way to the back of the bike, is the cable long enough for that? Thanks.

I built my own ebike using a 26 inch beach cruise frame with 20 inch wheels so I can have the low center of balance of a BMX but the frame large enough for my 6 foot tall self. I too had to add the camera to the very rear of the rack and have an extra 7 to 8 inches of cord at the bar. you should have plenty of cord.

A good look overall. But the real view from eye level on the monitor would have been better. You showed the monitor with the your camera staring right at it from inches away. I'd like to see a comparison showing the view I describe and including the mirror view on the bike, as well...a better comparison.

It definitely gets harder to view the cars the farther you are from it. So don’t expect it to magnify anything.

I just got this I really am disappointed the camera mount doesn't fit on my huge seatpost I hate to send it back I need to figure something out ,and it won't fit on my rear rack it's too small for it any suggestions on getting a bigger clamp or how to mount this would be greatly appreciated

Not bad ,like it but if you have a bag on your rack probably block most of the image. Have to find a spot on the rear of the rack if possible.

Never thought about doing something like this but a smart idea. I think though that if I was to do it, I would buy a solar powered license plate camera that used bluetooth to my iPhone in order to reduce the clutter on the handlebars and thus end up only charging one device that always gets charged and that would be your phone. Still like the concept though.

@@ChrisCrossed I flew drones. My house was robbed.. lost all. Building ebike now. I could use camera for night. And drive bike at night with no lights. .amazing how well those cameras see at night. And always good to record.. traffic accident..robbery.. you enjoy the day! God bless

Good concept but somebody should skip the separate monitor, and run a Bluetooth camera straight to the smartphone sitting right there on the handlebars. Waste of space.

Amazon, I think the brand is FEISKIE...when I had a blue screen it was because I hadn't plugged in the camera part.

@@debgarston1060 its removeable from the bracket so it lasts about 6 hrs, just take it off to recharge or charge while its on the bike if you have it close enough to a USB power strip

Yep, analogue is best, a mirror never goes wrong or needs the battery charging, the camera is a cool gadget though, I just wonder if the picture would be visible in bright Sunlight.
