You should gain stage with the input knobs at the top of the mixer for more of control of your sound instead of bringing the faders down so low

You would be cutting signal prior to processing doing it your way at the input trim. It not an analog console. No benefit to cutting trim in either situation. But you will rob the effects of signal to work with, and have no signal to automate the gain.... geez😅
