is it possible to achieve the same effect with the echo thaw or can be achieve only with this new delay

it can be done with a digital delay even. I have made some vids about that idea. The main concept is you need to toggle the feedback and the dry/wet.

kzbin.info/www/bejne/kJDXp3qsjKZmgtk just recorded this one. maybe it will help. The issue with the delays (digital delay has this, and the echo depends on the settings), the sound volume gets louder. So this is usually the approach I would take it.
