The cop saw TWO people dumping from a TRUCK. He then saw a person pushing a BIKE down the road. How in the world does that result in RAS? What if there was a walker, this guy, and someone riding a bike, all in the same area and moving away from the scene in different directions? Does he have RAS to stop all of them? I think it's pretty UN-reasonable to say that a man pushing a bike (that was apparently NOT seen by the officer at the dump site) might have committed the crime of illegal dumping.

New everything he was doing was wrong and illegal but he did it anyway cuz she knows there's no consequences for cops.

Got out of law enforcement last year. You're doing great work. I shared your content with anyone I still know on the job. I'm a 1L now. Hoping I can do something to give back like you. Agencies undertrain, supervisors ignore. Street cops are sacrificial lambs, keep pumping out info so they can arm themselves with knowledge and make better decisions and defend themselves

I live in a poor area, and high criminal area. I'm poor and i ride my bicycle to work and i work second shift, where i go home at 2 am. Friday night it was very cold out, while bicycling home the gas station down the street was robbed. The police detained me, so the totally of circumstances gave rise to RAS for a detainment correct, given the case analysis 👍

Let's add this up. It's 1:15 AM, cold weather, high crime area, unusual to see people there, the area is known for illegal dumping ... and he admitted to dumping. Brilliant.

I would benefit from understanding case law involving CPS, alleged child victims, and alleged false allegations.

Suggestion: skip the introduction and get into the substantive law as soon as possible. One man’s opinion. 1) issue 2) rule 3) applicable facts to the analysis 4) application to our jobs. And we can break this huddle a brief amount of time. Life is short and so should these videos in-order to be useful. Greatly appreciate your efforts!

I don't disagree. I'm continuing to try and be as short and to the point as possible. Thanks.

So a cop says he saw two men in a truck illegally dumping. Also said it took him 2 minutes to get there so you had to avoid from a distance. He gets there and there are no longer two people there was just one guy with a bike that he stopped who's supposedly confessed to illegally dumping. so the real question here is what sort of magic does this man make a truck and another occupant disappear and turn into a bicycle? And the fact the courts and prosecutors believe this cop shows what's wrong with policing in America today. This cop didn't articulate anyting this cop just crafted a narrative after-the-fact. How you can sit there with a straight face and believe that story is beyond me but it shows also what's wrong with prosecutors in America.

Another great video that unfortunately gets a thumbs down for the terrorist desecrated American flag in the background.

A black and white thin blue line flag doesn’t violate American flag code because it’s not technically an official version of the American flag. So do you dislike any symbol police adopt or this one, specifically, due to its likeness to the American flag?

Hey you got to remember this guy is only catering the cops. his entire business is dedicated to helping cops know the law or apparently just helping them get around it. Kind of makes you wonder why a whole bunch of cops aren't actually subscribing and going to his business plan. Also makes you wonder what he did to become a former prosecutor....

I think you could help cops win even more convictions if you KZbin attorneys would quit saying "reasonable suspicion". Yes almost all cops think that is the legal standard for a Terry stop, and the police-friendly lawyers all repeat it, but no, it is not the standard. The standard is RAS, reasonable *articulable* suspicion. RS is not a thing, except in the minds of police who constantly get their cases rejected. The difference is HUGE, and these kind of cases would resolve themselves so quickly if you all would teach it properly

Hope this gets read. I’ll be soon facing a judge because of a situation I landed in. Now, I was driving I have a blow out, my tire is flat. I get out of car address my tire. Cops pull up, my license tag is not legit, I explained I just bought it and the seller puts a bad paper tag on. I tell them I did not touch the tag at all. I get arrested for that according to officers. Now I’m in handcuffs, he checks my pockets and I have a controlled substance on me. Now at this point I m not sure if they’re already searching my car or not. I didn’t give consent prior to arrest. But they did find more evidence in car but they did not charge me for it. I was only charged for what was on my person. I start to think that thy was done due to illegal search of vehicle ?? What’s my best case scenario? I’m from Texas
