Summary of the (ever-increasing) reasons why Dawkins won’t debate Craig: He knows he’d get slaughtered. And so does everyone else.

Craig slaughtered himself. So genocide is moral because "divine commands" are moral? No matter what those commands are? Apologists say the truth of god is "written on our hearts". Yet you would have to be a sociopath to feel a warm glow in your heart at the idea of killing babies just because god said so. So if a Christian actually believed god said to kill me, then killing me would be moral? Uhhh yeah. Sorry but the idea that Dawkin would lose a debate to anyone with Craig's twisted special-pleadings on morality is sad indeed.

It's interesting to see a man like WLC critique someone like Richard Dawkins considering Craig's absolute fear of debating Jeffery Jay Lowder. Lowder is by far the best atheist debater there is. Lowder already absolutely destroyed Frank Turek and Phil Fernandes in a debate. Given how great Lowder is at debating, I can see why WLC has been ducking a debate with him since the late 1990s.

@@tomasrocha6139 The funny thing is that Craig will make the excuse that Lowder doesn't have a Ph.D. And yet, Craig was more than willing to debate Christopher Hitchens even though he didn't have a Ph.D. The real reason that Craig won't debate Lowder is because Lowder is far more qualified to debate Craig than every single opponent that Craig has faced. The fact of the matter is that Lowder has a very good case for atheism, and he is also an outstanding debater. Watch Lowder's debates with Fernandes and Turek, both of whom he absolutely destroyed, and you will see why Craig has been ducking a debate with Lowder since the late 1990s.

Dawk still has time to change his mind, but I feel like he will share the same fate as Hitchens. This just exposes the intellectual pricetage that Dawk is willing to believe; that the desire of God is just a thought for those who fear death. What will happen Dawk? What will it be Dawk? Will you know nothing after death, or will you see Jesus and say something along the lines "Wow.....he really does exist".

I'm planning a video about Richard Dawkins view on faith called 'Wilfully Obtuse Atheists'. As a scientist, he should know that you just shouldn't just throw up an answer to something that feels satisfying. Rather you test it and test it and look for other possible reasons. The way he assesses aspects of faith and Christian faith in particular is disingenuous in the extreme. For example, he points out on a recent video how bizarre it is to have a rule not to plant two crops in the same field or make clothes from two types of cloth or to mix drinks etc. He wants to establish that God and the Bible are petty and meddling for no reason. In fact, there is deep reasons for such guidance in the Bible. It is to impress throughout all the faith culture that we, as fallen children of God, are kidnapped children who's hearts were un-engrafted from God by the fall of Adam & Even and instead engrafted to the fallen angel Lucifer who became Satan. That our parentage should be God but it is the false god of Satan. This is why we 'serve two masters' and why we need to dethatch from the dead tree (deadwood) of the false ruler of this world Satan and instead engraft to the Tree of Life that is Jesus. All those seemingly arbitrary and petty rules about not mixing different things are to show us that it is to our detriment to let evil and Satan dwell in our hearts and it should be only goodness and God who dwells within us. But Dr Dawkins has a vested interest in not reading the wisdom of the Bible in any other way than one that will give him an excuse to ridicule. I'm planning to make a video about it on my YT channel and currently have a new one uploaded about God's omniscience and foreknowledge titled 'Is God Omniscient?'

It's not as though I couldn't wait for the week. But if I do and I go looking for your video there's also no guarantee I'd find it. Faith for me is a fascinating subject. I've asked a number of Christians, I should rephrase that. I've asked a number of believers to tell me what faith is. I should point out that all believers think they are Christians. It's clear in scripture we have examples of believers being cast into outer darkness. We don't have a single example of a Christian being cast into outer darkness? Scripture also points out that it's faith that saves us. So I'm curious if I can get you to respond to this comment explaining just what faith is? If your view is some sort of belief in God please don't bother. That answer is on the 99 th percentile of answers. I would also be interested in knowing where your answer comes from if you have one? That is to say is it supported by scripture? If so which scripture?

Well you will find other helpful and interesting videos while you wait for my next. And as it happens, I have an absolutely massive, in depth talk planned on the subject of faith. And also what lack of faith and process of losing faith is. I might refer to the Bible at times but I never use it as an authority for a position. I mainly use logic and psychology. As to where I get my views from? It's a combination of reading and considering the wisdom of past thinkers, doing my own thinking and analysis but always based on life experience and experimentation. Faith or belief in God or his principles is no different from faith in earthly things and processes. A sick person can believe in a certain, proven modern medical procedure for example but that faith will not heal them in the slightest. They have to put it into action and undergo the treatment to be physically saved. When people talk about being saved by faith, it's a short hand which assumes they believe in the process that can save them. But of course they have to undergo the process. Unfortunately, many jettisoned the need for the process and just acted like faith alone is some kind of voodoo that will save them. It will not. Even Satan believes God is real and Jesus is the savour. Faith is also what we have from the 'experience' of something working andn being beneficial to us. More importantly 'repeated' experience. Our mind and heart can consider a one off beneficial result to be a fluke, coincidence and that correlation does not equal causation. But when we repeatedly get a positive, life affirming result from living a certain way and that abating when we do not then we develop a belief in that process. When we make effort in our relationship to God and to live according to His guidance and we feel more alive spiritually as a result then we develop faith. There is a great myth that belief or faith comes from evidence. but that is not how the human psychology works. Evidence is abstract. Belief does not come from evidence, it comes from lived experience. We risk our lives in transport, elevators, eating the food that strangers made in restaurants etc and a million other ways every single day not based on any evidence but based on past repeated experience that it is not only safe but good for us. Faith should be de-mystified and explained in terms of phycological and practical mechanics of how life and how we, physical, mental, emotional and spiritual actually function. People love the 'numinous' though and don't feel inspired by the logical. So I'm trying to show the beauty of the mechanics of ontological reality on my channel. @@patrickedgington5827

@@pathfinding4687 let's start with logic and reason. I've never met anyone who had an opinion that didn't think that opinion was logical and reasonable. They're feeling that way doesn't make them right. The only way to be sure of what Christianity is, to know without question that you're not making it up yourself, is to look to scripture. Clearly scripture gives us basic concepts to live by. That are not always obvious. There can be room for interpretation. But it is not silent when it comes to Faith. It is specific, it is direct, it gives a very clear and concise view of what biblical faith is and it's biblical faith that saves. All the rest of it's just song and dance it's just snake oil. Religion for the people that have an angst to be saved but not a true desire to know God. All the same I will look for your video. I may comment on it. If it has something of real value. If it's in line with truth I'll make a comment to that effect. If it's just the same song and dance I won't spend 3 minutes in it. I'll put a thumbs down, and I will tell youtub not to recommend your channel again. So I guess we'll see.
@pathfinding4687
@pathfinding4687 6 ай бұрын
Well let me counter your first point. Just because many people who are not logical believe they are logical, does not mean that no one is logical. Next, if you are going to insist that only opinions based on Biblical scripture are valid then you are forever trapped preaching to the choir because although scripture might be ultimate authority on truth for you, it’s not going to be for those in need of Jesus. You can’t tell a person who does not yet have faith that something is true because it’s in the Bible or not true because it contradicts something in the Bible or asserts and idea that the Bible didn’t reveal. There are a great many truths, especially scientific ones that were not in the Bible but were discovered and proven to be true. So confirming something with the Bible is not the only way to know if something is true. Further to that, it is a Christian assumption that the Bible is perfectly clear and without mistakes or errors (such as the apostles personal views on things relating to God). That you and many Christians believe that doesn’t make it so. It just means that is what you believe. The Bible clearly shows how just about every person God chose got into trouble with not understanding things. Jesus’s disciples spent a great deal of time scratching their heads with Jesus constantly chastising them for their dense heads and inability to understand things. In my view, it’s a mistake to assume that after the Pentecost, suddenly every person who contributed to the writings of the New Testament became perfect vessels for God to write through. Far more likely is that God experienced the usual unwieldly vehicle that He had to constantly struggle with to have them see, say and do things as He wished. Just as he did with Abraham, Moses, Elijah etc. So I understand why many of my fellow Christians like to believe that if it’s in the Bible it can never be wrong. But the Bible is like a fifteen-century world map. Full of inaccuracies yet with enough golden truth to be used to navigate to the desired destination. Well as you didn’t expound on what you mean when the Bible talks about ‘Biblical Faith’ then I can’t address it. I don’t have faith in the Bible, the Bible is a book that is fundamentally no different from a map. It steers us towards Jesus and God. And even the Bible says that faith without works is dead. But of course, it’s not the works that mean a person has faith. It’s the ‘nature’ of the person who has the faith and works. It is the nature that leads them to want to exhibit holy behavour. And the nature is so because the relationship to Jesus and God over time resurrects their dead, hearts (to a degree). Faith is an ongoing process but most of all it is a ‘relationship with God through Jesus. When the relationship is there, the spirit thrives and the changed nature and behavour naturally result from that. Feel free to thumbs down my videos if you don’t agree with them and disagree in the comments. @@patrickedgington5827

Ohhhhhh what a severe disappointment! I really like Dawkins. He is very well spoken, eloquent and likable despite the whole "mock them..."(Back in 2012) All these years of praying & he is more obstinate & logic dodging as ever. I remember I was intimidated by the God Delusion & I wanted to buy many of Dawkins' work esp. The Selfish Gene. I was so shocked by TGD. 'Who designed the designer?', Jesus mythicism & he quoted a professor of German, Communism had nothing to do with atheism...etc.... Did TGD 'survive' to today? Talk about an evolutionary dead end or if compared to aerospace TGD blew up on the launch pad. I had to laugh when he said WLC has a loud & pompous voice & he doesn't respect him. Dawkins' won't debate for his view on the Midianites. Good grief how desperate! Dawkins' debated others with said view but then what sheer contradiction. Dawkins' famous clear & concise articulation describes atheism so well: (something like) "the universe we observe has the precise properties we should expect if at bottom there is no design, no good, no evil DNA just is and we dance to its music." Annnnd, then Dawkins: "I won't debate anyone who justifies the slaughter of the 'Midianites'"

God has visited me ever since I was a child & I was visited by God a few hours ago. God shows me that our universe is holographic & suspended in an ocean that is full of life forms. And life from that ocean passes through into our oceans & evolves. I have spent decades in God's physical presence & God makes me watch as He creates universes in His ocean using His auric light. Then God takes me to walk on the new earths. God frequently manifests beside me & takes me out of this holographic world & I instantly find myself beneath the waters of God's ocean & surrounded by life forms. I have read countless reports from other people who experience the same thing. So unfortunately Genesis fails to state that the waters God created the universe in was already filled with life forms. Genesis gives the impression that God created life magically & that is not correct. So christians are forced to defend magic while scientists observe how life came from the oceans & evolved, & that is what actually occurred. If you open your mind to the spiritual world you will be greeted by spiritual beings including God. If you keep doing that your mind & consciousness will expand & you will come to know everything about God & creation. Simply studying books or waiting for science to advance is not the answer. You must personally meet God & observe God's powers & realm before you will truly know who God is & how creation works. And again the way to accomplish that is by opening your mind to the spiritual realm & meeting the beings there. It is very simple & I can go into the spiritual realm & see God & spiritual beings face to face this very minute if I wanted to. It's just a natural part of your life that you must awaken to in your own time. I wish you all well

Craig is wrong. Traces of Life have been found in space but contamination couldn´t be ruled out until recently. And that just in our neighbourhood! We haven´t even finished looking in our solar system and Carig makes it seem like we searched the entire Universe. He loves to drive a narrative where his view is being supported by Science but he is misrepresnting it, for example, in his Kalam Version he makes massive claims about the Universe that haven´t been proven. Phil Halper did a great Video on Craigs Kalam.
