In India importing cbu cars have 120% tax Importing parts also have taxes but not so much However if a company manufacture parts locally they get incentive to setup plants, different states compete with each other to invite makers into their state. Haryana has suzuki and hero motors (bikes) plant Uttar pradesh has Honda, Toyota and Yamaha plant Gujarat had plants for ford and GM (both left the market), they have a plant of Tata Maharashtra had plant of fiat which is used by citroen after acquisition However it is Chennai that has the most car makers Renault, Mercedes, bmw, Nissan, Maharashtra has plants for skoda, vw Andhra has Hyundai, kia and Isuzu

Bro in India tax on Car is very High, we pay extra cess for Car dimensions and engine. Still it is very cheaper than your country. If we remove those CESS then here car will be more cheaper. Like Creat and Thor like car will cost below 1million ₹.

It is important to understand that the value of Indian rupees is 3.5 times the value of Pakistani rupee. So comparing prices between the two countries is useless and totally misleading. It would be more appropriate and logical to compare prices in dollars for the two countries. Another thing that has been overlooked are the taxes in each country on these vehicles which can be very different.

However when you start comparing in terms of rupees between India and Pakistan, not everyone understands how exchange rates work and how Indian Rupee is very different to Pakistani Rupee. You discussed the issues with auto industry and car prices in Pakistan but didn't say why a car costing 32 lakh in India is for above 1 crore in Pakistan. Actually if you look at the exchange rates and taxes, car prices come to about the same in Pakistan for locally assembled cars. However it is a different story for imported vehicles and larger engine cars. I think those cars are what you should compare and where the large difference is.
