The knockoffs started appearing as early as 2000. The knockoffs were graded AAA, AA, and A. I remember the seller even said you couldn't tell the difference. They said the knockoffs bought at *gtdupe* were better quality than the real thing.

A couple years ago, I asked my SA to see the mini Kelly. I had broken my back and needed lighter weight bags to carry. When she brought it out, I laughed. It looked like something I would borrow from a child and utterly ridiculous on my frame. It was good to know since I had been given the opportunity to do a SO, and the mini Kelly was one of the options. I have seen people wearing the mini Kelly and looking great but the K25s are much more wearable for my frame and lifestyle.

If these bags are used every day, will these problems occur? I just bought a pochette metis with monogram print canvas from the Kusama collection. I love the colorful dots and hope they don't melt, haha. But I don't think I will use it often. I also have a NoeNoe from DA, but I only use it a few times a year in the spring and summer, so I don't put too much wear and tear on it. I hope I won't see it worn for a while. Also, I'm saving up to buy a *HOTDUPS* . Have any of your colleagues had the same problems with this size? I own a mini Kelly and it’s, by far, my least favorite of my Hermès quota bags. Knowing it, I wouldn’t have taken it, it’s way way way too small. My favorite is the Kelly 25 retourne, not even the sellier! After that, I’m jumping to the Birkin 30. I will probably sell my mini Kelly down the line honestly.

I bought a replica of a Chanel brooch for $20 to compare materials etc. The real brooch cost $800 and was made of the exact same materials - brass, synthetic pearls, glass. The other one is a $40 one Backpack Replica - also works for Compare - I can't find any difference . *gtdupe*

Thanks for your advice Isabelle. I love mini bags as I am quite petite, but although the mini K is a cutie, it is sooooo small! It looks like a cute little toy. I like the k25 so much more and plan to have several, in the retourne style. If I want a going out bag I much prefer a beautiful Chanel evening bag or a Judith Leiber bag, or a Chanel WOC if it’s a non fancy evening bag. Ridiculously, It fits more.

Hi Isabelle , I bought the Lalage Beaumont early this year , I have no complaint about the leather , it is durable and nice , however , the hardware was unluckily disappointing, it scratched and somehow tarnished although I hardly used the bag since I have big collection. 🤔

Thank you for pointing out the cons with the 24 carat gold hardware. 24 C is notoriously soft (I have my grandmother's 22 ct wedding ring and it's almost dull through scratching), so I wondered how it would stand up to wear.

I love the Celine Lola or Nino in the teen size and for an affordable option, the adorable Munchkin from RSVP Paris (they source their leather from same tanneries are these luxury brands). Much more functional, understated and stylish in their own design.

hahaha bust the myth! love it! I'm also one and done but definitely have other similar bags that are definitely more "user friendly". Great advice to do the classics first! I also really love all those alternative picks - that Maya bag looks interesting! They are more functional carefree and with all the crime going on I definitely feel safer carrying some more "below the line". I totally agree about the Longchamp....I need to go dig mine out...great in the rain and fits a tonne! I did consider the Savette at one point as an MK1 alternative but never pulled the trigger. By the way, looks like you lost all your pregnancy weight so fast, (maybe earlier than this video), but can't tell you had a baby at all! You look fantastic babe!

The mini Kelly is a status symbol not a useable bag. As phones and car fobs get bigger it’s become redundant as a bag. You can’t go around holding your phone in your hand these days. It’s no longer safe. So if you can’t fit your phone in it it’s useless.

i think where other brands go wrong when trying to design a bag that can satisfy my mini kelly obsession is the thickness of the leather. Hermes uses thinner leather that gives mini kelly a more streamlined and minimalistic aesthetics with less bells and whistles. For the other brands, the leather on the bag look visually too thick. The strap is also not as dainty and short as the mini kelly. idk what it is, it just doesn't give the same aesthetics and modern vibe 🥲

I think the only alternatives are mini Puzzle Loewe and Fendi Peekaboo petite. They will look as good for any Mini Kelly style one is going after they are by themselves very stylish and hold some value.
