I researched CNC machines for 2 years before I bought my i2R. I called several companies with mixed results from attitudes of not wanting to waste their time answering my questions to not being able to talk to a human. When I called i2R Sonny picked up the phone & answered every question, even about other machines I was looking at, was friendly, knowledgeable plus he didn’t say anything negative about any other company. I called back a week later, Sonny remembered me answered more and questions, again friendly and not pushy. I bought the i2R-6 set it up in 10 minutes,& had 1 issue with UCCNC. I called they knew exactly what I was doing wrong and I was cutting in 5 minutes. 2 years with no issues & the ball screws & linear rails will last a lifetime.

Great video. I put my name in for the i2r raffle. Heck for a second I thought I won 😢. The winner was Joe from New York not Calif. I’m like most potential buyers research first . Matt at 731 said the same you tube is your best friend for learning. Thanks again for your video content.

Thank you for responding. I spoke to Joel this morning for about 30min and had a bunch of questions. He was nice, answered everything, but not the most chipper sounding sales person I have spoken to. I think I'm going to go with the B22 unit like yours. Any advice before purchasing?

Good video... Strangely enough, I am about to purchase my 1st CNC. I was leaning heavily towards a Shapeoko, and then saw your video. I reached out to I2R a couple days ago, but have not heard anything back from them. Anyway, keep posting videos, as they always contain useful information.

Thanks for the review. I’ve wanted one of these for awhile, but as a hobby woodworker I just can’t justify the cost for what I want

So thanks to this video, I bought one of the new I2R B24 CNCs and you were right! The build quality of this machine is shocking. VERY well built and super heavy! Really impressed so far. BUT.... It came with NO instructions to put it together, and the PDF they emailed me did NOT match the model and frame I got with the machine. The frame is a white one and so is the CNC. They also sent the wrong toolbox, it's black and does not fit the control CPU box like in the pictures. My clamps did not come and the hardware for the vacuum hose setup is wrong. I've looked for videos and documentation everywhere and what I have seen if different than what they sent me. So I will be calling them today, hopefully, they are good and will make this right. I will say, they shipped it fast! Left NYC Friday and was here Monday. Unfortunately, I got no warning though. The text alert came saying the package was out for delivery as they were backing into my driveway to deliver it. They were supposed to call ahead for an appt. I did get the Vcarve Pro software all set up last week after I bought it. That was pretty easy and very quick. Have yet to actually try the machine, but hope to later today. Thank you again for posting your video!

Oh no! I’m so sorry to hear that. That definitely hasn’t been my experience. I hope they were able to sort it all out for you!!

It worked out. I love the machine. I ended up getting parts for the dust collector at the hardware store that fit. And turns out the black tool cabinet they sent was indeed the wrong one, but I got it free so not what I expected, but it worked out. If I choose to get another unit I'll know next time. Thanks for posting your videos, they have been VERY helpful!

Hi, Love your videos. Newbie hobbyist. Taking possession of a cnc. Totally new to it and no knowledge. And advice or hints. Hoping to create serving/cutting boards and trays/bowls. Regards Paul

Dust collection seems quite poor on these, plus it would be nice to have a suction table to save clamping the pieces every time. In Australia they are quite expensive at $15,000 just for the table, then you have to buy the stand etc. Am considering one none the less but also don't understand why they don't make a 8x4 table as thats the common sheet size.

Is it possible to cut dovetails on the end of a board clamped to the end of the table with this machine?

Hi Nick ,I would really like to get the cnc that you are using but I'm in the UK and I don't think they ship over here.i have looked online for a similar one but unless I've just not looked hard enough I can't seem to find one here in the UK , have you any suggestions please from another Nick.🏴

Is that basically the Axiom CNC rebranded? I though I saw that Axiom owns I2R, is that correct? Kind of leery going with a lesser known brand that might be around in a few years.

Hi, Great review! Can you describe how noisy it is? I see that it has a spindle instead of a router. I know a router is very loud. How is the spindle? Thanks!
@SixEightWoodworks2 жыл бұрын
It’s really not that bad. Obviously if I’m doing more aggressive cuts or some applications it can certainly be loud. But many of the applications I still run late into the night without too much sound.

Depends on the application and what material bit you’re using. It’s not too bad

@@SixEightWoodworks I do like your set up with the KZbin channel and website. I guess I just assumed you was full time woodworking. I am about the same as you except I don’t do the KZbin or website. I am part time but everything I build sells as soon as I get it built. Maybe this year I go full time, who knows! 😉

1 big reason not to. If you dont have a lot of computer experience and I dont then do not get one. I do not have one but a friend does that knows computer technology well has one and even he spends a ton of time setting it up. Cnc machines are great but you better be great at setting them up or it will be extremely frustrating having one. Until they make them simple to use I will never get one because it will just sit there taking up space not being used while it drained my savings.
@SixEightWoodworks Жыл бұрын
I found the whole process extremely intuitive. Lots of resources to make it simple to get started even for beginners with minimal computer experience
