I just bought a 2003 wagon myself! I am LOVING IT. I was looking soooo hard for a bugeye sedan and came across a wagon and couldnt say no. They're cheaper to buy, more practical and still just as fun to drive. The only down side is it's really hard to find exterior parts for the wagon because companies only want to make them for the sedan. (Fender Flairs, Rain guards, difusers, lips etc.)

I sold my 208 mi '02 WRX wagon last year that I bought new. I had the magazine articles when the car was coming out, window sticker. I kept a journal of every oil change, light bulb since day one. Some spirited driving first few years but never dogged. Stock except for a remap. Back seats were down 99.999% of the time for a kayak & paddle board paddles. The seats were sat in maybe 10 times. Replaced with it's twin, a blue '05. I agree that's it is one incredible daily driver. Not a daily driver, '91 NSX . Oh by the way I'm 70

Didn't realise this video is so recent. I picked up one of these in April lol.. exactly same.. 02 bugeye wagon wrx. And I freaking love it! I've been into skylines and gtr for 10 years and fancied something different. Can't believe I never got one sooner. I picked up the one I have with head gasket done and numerous other jobs... also a VF35 turbo and pink 550cc injectors fitted and it's tuned to around 280bhp which I'm plenty happy with. It's not the 32gtr but it's alot of fun! Can't believe how good they handle and omg I can stuff everything in the boot Lol! 😎 totally smitten with it 😍 got some BC coilovers to go on and want to get 356mm K sport 8 pot kit for extra stop power 😁 For anyone wondering definitely get one if you want a fun daily that's affordable.. as this vid says there's just so many plusses

It's 100% stock performance wise, other than being being slightly lowered and having a short throw shifter. Honestly it's a great car and I'm very happy with it. I'm a San Francisco baby needless to say there's a bunch of hills out here and I'm loving it... I dunno if it's just me but I prefer driving stick to automatic it's just more engaging you know. I still daily drive my 2004 WRX Wagon. Mine is all stock and am pushing over 220k miles on it now. It's still on the original clutch and drives like new! Other than regular maintenance, I had the A/C disconnected when it started dying around 180k miles. At 192k miles the radiator broke. Other than those two things, the car has been rock solid. I am 2nd owner, bought it with 18k miles on it, so I've personally put a lot of miles on this car. I also don't baby it, I beat on this thing all day and it just keeps on going. I've considered replacing with a tesla model 3, but my WRX Wagon has basically been trouble free for the over 200k miles I've owned it. As for utility, I've moved houses several times and packed this thing full of stuff. I've traveled across mountain passes, through snow storms, through rain and wind storms, I live in a hilly area so it's constantly on twisty roads, going uphill and downhill. I've traveled across states, to different countries, etc. Best car I've ever owned! My oldest kid is 6 and I am hoping to keep the WRX long enough for her to learn how to drive with it.

@onsaturn
@onsaturn 2 жыл бұрын
Just picked one up. Gas is good if you sit low fifth gear on the highway. Maybe 25-30 miles per gal. The problem is that it’s a fun zippy car and it’s easy to get carried away and once you start pushing it, it burns through gas fast. I’d say with everything considered it’s not amazing gas mileage but it’s not bad.

I own this exact car but i have the sedan and the only advantage you have is 200 lbs less weight. I would rather have a wagon because I do shit outdoors a lot and it would be nice to have the space, but I'm happy with my sedan considering WRXs from this year are very rare
