@@brit1066 National health program is a nice name for compulsory insurance you have to pay and the elimination of health insurance freedom. This means that there will always be medical treatments which can't be covered by any ikind of nsurance no matter how rich you are. You won't be able to fully cover yourself - just for the sake of equality. As the years will go by, the cost of this compulsory insurance will go up and the coverage will go down. Moreover, the relative quality of the medical service you'll get will also degrade as the incentive for providing a better service evaporated. How do I know this? I live in such country. My family health insurance cost per month is about USD2000, I can't have a better insurance coverage (by law) and the quality of the health service I'm getting is nowhere near of what I could get in the US. If you wish to punish yourself for the stupidity of other people which are not responsible for their financial behavior - go ahead create yourself a national health program and enjoy it.

Are you saying that if you cannot ford that $2000 a month then you get NO HEALTH COVERAGE. As a Brit who has lived in the USA for 50 years, I have personal and family experience of BOTH SYSTEMS. My experience in the USA has been EXCELLENT, because both myself and my wife have had good jobs with good benefits and now we have MEDICARE WHICH IS ALMOST AS GOOD AS THE NHS. However I know of many people who have almost LOST EVERYTHING BECAUSE OF FAMILY HEALTH PROBLEMS AND LOSING THEIR JOBS. While my family and my wife’s family in the UK GET VERY GOOD HEALTH CARE WITHOUT HAVING TO WORRY ABOUT LOSING CARE BECAUSE OF JOB LOSS. Are you aware that the LEADING CAUSE OF BANKRUPTCY in the USA is failure to pay HEALTH CARE BILLS. A situation UNKNOWN IN ANY OTHER COMPARABLE COUNTRY. Oh and in the UK there is NO RESTRICTION on the desire to supplement health coverage with additional insurance. So come on WHERE DO YOU LIVE?

Are you saying that the law actually PREVENTS you from taking out additional health insurance. I urge you to ask people who have ACTUAL EXPERIENCE OF BOTH SYSTEMS before making such IDIOTIC REMARKS. Conversing to learn and/or inspire and/or to bring about positive change are ALWAYS worthwhile. If anything makes us closer to "ruin or worse" is, first, not having this conversation and, second, not doing anything to reverse the downward trend of how wealth is distributed and used (not to mention other issues, climate for instance).

lazurm very well written and thoughtful reply. My concern is not particularly profound or original; that is communism is generally a destructive form of governance. There is no perfect form of government in a world full of entropy and sin. It just seems to me that capitalism has a far superior record on elevating suffering. This isn't the venue to properly detail what I'm getting at but I'd urge you to read or hear what he actually states (his current home page would probably do). I don't think Bernie's problem is his policy ideas and his observations of how U.S. capitalism actually works but, rather, his total devotion to his ideals, total to the point of finding difficulty in making the kind of compromises he'd have to make at this point in history. He's also not very warm, or more accurately, personable in one on one conversations, something that results demand in a politician because people are, after all, mostly emotional and not highly logical in their choices...or in their preferences for legislation. For now, the U.S. will have to settle for if he may influence (hopefully) where we must go to improve the lives of average Americans. He's already done that, though there's a lot of work yet to be done. One small example is the current push for a "living wage" for all workers and there are several other issues finally inspired to action, by Bernie S.

@@glibbylive4564 well of course it's not going to be uniform it's not like every single rich and or wealthy person thinks exactly the same. But you look at 90% maybe 80% of Hollywood and they all vocally support Democrats especially on social media. This in turn influences people to vote the way that they view things. See you moved the goal post. I called out that rich people currently ALMOST always uniformly vote Democrat. You then, stepped away from your argument about Republicans, and then finally decided to include Democrats. And see, this is why I hate most of the people who advocate for socialism communism and who lean further to the left. Because they can't stick with the same argument. Their entire argument is that they just can't be wrong. And they will move the goal post as much as and as often as they need to even going so far as changing words and phrases definitions to do that very thing. How about we agree that Republicans and Democrats are both bad but socialists align themselves with Democrats. Democrats whom are just as pro war as neocons. Democrats whom have fundamentally destroyed States like New York in California. Democrats whom have the highest taxes in their states as well as overwhelming amounts of homelessness and crime. And do you know why I don't like Bernie? Because he stopped complaining about millionaires whenever he became one. He went to socialist countries where there are people actually suffering, and literally decided to show off only the best parts of those countries as if to make them seem glorious and good. He is even publicly stated that bread lines are a good thing. And to put that phrase in context for you to understand. That means he believes in food scarcity and keeping everyone universally hungry. Living off of minimum amounts of food that they have to wait on every day in a line sometimes for hours at a time. And every time people escape these countries they all pretty much say the exact same thing. But when they do neoliberals and neo progressives decide to come out and be like I'm sorry your experience isn't valid you should listen to me a white champagne socialist who is just jealous they're not a millionaire.

“National-Socialist Germany” wasn’t even socialist, the economy was capitalist with private owned business. Watch a documentary right here at You-Tube called "WW1 to 911: Everything is a rich man's trick". You will find with proof that wealthy people from Europe, and the United States gave the equivalent of billions of dollars to Hitler's Nazi regime secretly funneled through Prescott Bush's Union Bank in the 1930's. Prescott Bush was father to George H. Bush, and grandfather to George W. Bush. You can't build a powerful dictatorship, without lots of investment. Many rich people love dictatorships---why I can't fathom? This documentary is very enlightening, but also quite long (about 3.27 hours).

@@hitchhikerspongebob9851 Ehhhhhhh. It was technically privately owned but with a rule that the government could seize it at any point and redistribute it or take direct control if they felt it wasn't being productive enough. They could also take any land they felt they needed without compensation. That's a pretty big Sword of Damocles hanging over their head and basically meant the government got to have the final say in everything. Facism is somewhere between a welfare nanny state and total Communism with a heavy focus on National Pride and therefore wasn't 100% Socialist policies top to bottom, but to say it's Capitalist and not Socialist is a bit misleading.

NiGHTSnoob I said it was capitalist with socialist elements, what else is there to say. Also, under authoritarian rule there is of course the possibility that they could take their stuff, but that’s not because there was a written rule (there was literally a dictator in power). And, to say that Fascism is anywhere near Communism is blatantly false. Communism is the ideology of being prideful of the common worker regardless of nationality while Fascism directly appeals to the downtrodden in a society who are prideful in their nation. To say that Nazi Germany was anywhere near communism is just incorrect. And, to be fair, they had a bustling economy that nearly conquered the world just a few years after having everything stripped from them. To call them a welfare-nanny state doesn’t do it much justice either. On another side note, I don’t support these ideologies. I just like for the truth to be known about these governments so that we aren’t doomed to repeat history.

Chris you, Sir, are correct. Sanders reminds me of a modern-day Abraham Lincoln. If Lincoln came back today, he’d probably be called a socialist. It’s amazing how deluded an entire country can become because of Cold War propaganda. Lincoln even thought wage labour was next to slavery! This is morality and the fight against injustice under an unregulated, capitalist system - not Communism or even socialism. If anything he is more patriotic than Trump because he actually cares about the common man. I guess too many people are too set in their ways to realise people like Bernie aren’t trying to ruin the country - why would he, seriously? He has fought for so many good causes and then only things the elite can resort to is ideological propaganda where they try and smear him by calling him a ‘socialist’ and pretending it’s equivalent to laziness. Too many people watch Fox News.

Brilliant video. It's easy to dispute things written about one's self in articles, but when you provide someone with video footage of themselves saying absurd and nonsensical things (and then backtracking on those things when the political landscape changes), it's pretty tough for them to deny that stuff. Excellent job of piecing together all of this footage. #BernieGotBurned

Ihso Your very statement shows your ignorance. The phraise " slave wage " diminishes what slavery was and compared to many nations Amazon pays good wages based on U.S. cost of living. Many Americans eat crap and don't take care of their health and when they have to get medical care because of their own bad life habbits they blame the healthcare system for the cost instead of accepting it was their own habbits that put them there.

The people of USA are sick and tired of the entire function of the government to be doing the bidding of the entrenched corporate interests. Frederic Bastiat, The Law 1850: “Socialism, like the ancient ideas from which it springs, confuses the distinction between government and society. As a result of this, every time we object to a thing being done by government, the socialists conclude that we object to its being done at all. We disapprove of state education. Then the socialists say that we are opposed to any education. We object to a state religion. Then the socialists say that we want no religion at all. We object to a state-enforced equality. Then they say that we are against equality. And so on, and so on. It is as if the socialists were to accuse us of not wanting persons to eat because we do not want the state to raise grain.” “If the natural tendencies of mankind are so bad that it is not safe to permit people to be free, how is it that the tendencies of these organizers are always good? Do not the legislators and their appointed agents also belong to the human race? Or do they believe that they themselves are made of a finer clay than the rest of mankind?” “The state is that great fiction by which everyone tries to live at the expense of everyone else.”

Hans -Economics is different from government forms. I am 100% sure that the best form of government is a Minarchy.
@reecealeck83145 жыл бұрын
Hans - Capitalism is a profit and loss system. Economics is the allocation of scarce resources which have alternative uses. In socialism-communism a small group of people (try) to allocate the resources and in Capitalism, being a profit and loss system, prices allocates those scarce resources through its democratic form of economics.When prices go up it tells the economy that it needs more of that thing and when prices go down it tells the economy that it needs less of that certain thing.

- in socialism-communism a small oligarchy allocate scarce resources, which is an impossible task to do. The best system for allocating scarce resources is a profit and loss systems driven by PRICES.
@reecealeck83145 жыл бұрын
Hans let me reframe that -This is why pure Socialists economies collapse so quickly. Socialist leaders have no clue what they're doing. Literally. To the degree that Socialist policies are shackled onto a market economy (like the U.S.) the economy erodes and falls apart. It's a slippery slope into chaos. ‼️In a pure Socialist economy, there is only one owner of land, labor and capital -- the Government.‼️ When government is the only owner, there can be no trade. Without trade, there can be no market prices. Without market prices, there can be no profits and losses. Without profits and losses, there is no rational way to know how and where land, labor and capital should be allocated. There's no way to know what should be produced and what production should be stopped.

I am Anti-fanasoco Anti fascism-Nazism-socialism-communism When fanasocos are lossing an argument they start spewing out the exact Yang gang bullshit like robots your so called “mixture of socialism and communism is fascism/Nazism- which is basically socialism with the mask of Capitalism. Government control in the marketplace stands in sharp contrast with a completely free market. In the last century or so there have been basically 4 forms of state controlled economies.Fascism, Nazism, socialism and communism. In each, the government controls the capital. The difference among these is how much is owned or controlled outright by the government. (The USA is fascist period) the core to capitalism is prices.It is fascist with the mask of capitalism.it is everything u ever wanted, your Yang gang garbage. Once a country intrudes fascist systems like Obama care etc. and the Federal reserve with Fanny May and Freddy mac, it creates a ripple effect in the economy. Money is a a tool of measurement in the economy, once you mess with the money it’s like trying to build a house with a measuring tape that changes day by day, the house will fall apart.
