I can always spot the college educated Liberal in a crowd who hasn't traveled outside the US, they are the one berating everyone about how bad the US is. They might have (probably did) do a tour of the hostels in other countries (just to be able to check the box) but only talked with other hostel dwellers and only visited the brochure tourist sights. In other words, their feet never actually touched the ground in that other country and they learned nothing. I barely graduated high school but I worked in post Soviet Russia and read a TON. I know how good we and I have it here in the US, even with all it's faults and problems, it's still without parallel.

Because whenever you advocate for something, the worst thing that can happen is that people actually start to agree with you. Meanwhile, the border is open and we have enough Fentanyl coming over the boarder in the last year and a half to literally kill every person in American. We have 100s of thousands of SLAVES being human trafficked. We are being warned that for the first time in about two decades we are Amin danger of another attack like 9-11. Do you know how many conservatives are LEGAL immigrants, minorities, mixed marriages, etc. It is America that is beginning to balk against traditional values. If he was right we’d have less Hispanics voting Republican, yet we are seeing just the opposite. They say these things “conservatives don’t like different” with no basis of truth. Zuby wasn’t having it though. Why would Zuby a “black immigrant” be conservative if he thought conservatives hated “others.” If you disagree with a “progressive” there must be an evil motivation. @ 17:20 -- I agree, the terms Left and Right are useless. Just because someone dyes their hair and calls themselves a feminist, doesn't make them "Left." (I know that's a radical idea, but you have to LISTEN to what people are advocating for.) Today, you can often see groups that would be characterized as Left, advocating fascism. The Democratic party would be a far Right party in any country outside the US. Bernie is a conservative centrist in any other country. We need to call things for what they are: they're not Left. They're fascist.

You have a problem with OSHA? There was a time when all men above the age of 50 in entire towns were succumbing to black lung from coal and metal mines. And if something goes wrong, it should have been prevented by the system, rather than expecting an individual to be responsible for themselves. I believe society would be better off without OSHA. And in generations before mine, a man could support a family of 5 and own a house with a high-school education on a single salary. Saving was rewarded, not punished.

smart guy, i like him but he is wrong on several things. He says the US is not racist because it is diverse, but the US was one of the most diverse places on the earth when it was unarguably racist 50 somewhat years ago, this proves diversity is not evidence of lack of racism. Opportunity for a better life, is not proof of lack of racism, logically this is how... lets say you have a company that has the highest standard of life for its employees and all surrounding companies are abysmal. the good company is run by blonds that allow all blonds to work but only allows 4 out of every 5 brunets to work there. all other companies discriminate ever more against brunets. because this company has the best standard of living and best standard of discrimination compared to all other companies does not mean that it is not discriminating against brunets,This is why his logic is wrong. To say the US has no racist laws so its not racist is foolish as well, here is why. what he meant to say is that it has no overtly racist wording in federal law anymore. That doesnt mean institutional racism doesnt exist. Sentencing laws for the same crimes were found to be disproportionate, redlining( negative ability to buy property in certain areas)went on and still goes on, devaluing of property due to race was found by a federal study, stop and frisk laws, etc. All of these things have gone on and some still do after the last civil rights legislation, not 100 years ago but in my life time, your life time . The last racial civil rights legislation happened only 55 years ago, my mother is in her late sixties, my elders are in their 80's and 90's, the people that know what the US is are still here and alive and the overwhelming majority of us by every study metric and poll say its racist country.
@LesediModisakeng-in8uq27 күн бұрын
True 👍 he loves to deflate racism by talking about his experiences but he feels to bear in mind that we live in a causes and effects world and just because your reality is a certain way doesn't mean other people's realities wasn't or isn't that way... the world doesn't revolve around you and what happens in said country is primarily the business of that country... you can have an opinion but by no means do you get to tell Americans how they should feel or impose your views
@kevinjackson49332 жыл бұрын
lol this interviewer said conservatives "don't like difference" because we want to limit immigration for a while. How unbelievably disingenuous and/or ignorant. There are limits to everything, and any culture would be against flooding themselves with extremely different cultures with zero restrictions. That's plainly obvious. It's natural to not want that. We don't "not like difference" just because we care about our culture enough to want it to maintain some semblance of its character in the long run. And that's not to mention the economic aspect of this issue, which is entirely justified in and of itself! His characterization is "unhinged," not us. In fact, by his definition, the whole world is "unhinged" because people care about their cultures. So absurd.

Yep the man speaks common sense. My opinion on the topic of trans sexuals is nobody gives a s***. Keep your sex life to yourself like everybody else. Parents need to be taught how to be parents before they become parents so that they can teach their children and should be primary educators for their kids. If you're talking about sex, gender, and other complex issues to children and they're not your children then you need to be reprimanded harshly.
@connorglaze5382 жыл бұрын
Don't you think that gives a free pass to parents who'd raise their kids with an unhealthy attitude to sex e.g saying sex before marriage or non-hetero sex is wrong or teaching kids that unprotected sex is always A OK? Obviously most parents are capable of teaching their kids about the birds and bees in a healthy manner but for that small minority who are the kids of homophobic zealots and amoral libertines, sex ed from school may be their only way to get the full picture they need to be healthy well-adjusted adults

John said "If you're talking about sex, gender, and other complex issues to children and they're not your children then you need to be reprimanded harshly." I'm just positing that sex ed in schools provides an important source of objective information that kids might not get from their parents, stuff like STDs are a thing, the risks of having sex when you're young and how to use protection, non-hetero and non-cis people exist and it's fine to be either. @36:30. Zuby 3 options to conflict resolution: discussion, separation, violence. To hold these three as independent is naive. Effective discussion of course is always the first choice. Discussion also needs first to establish that a belligerent party that seeks to silence a co-party by violence or otherwise violate the basic rights of the other will be met with overwhelming violence. Any other approach descends to war lordism, rule of the strongest. For some reason there’s an increasing tendency to ignore the basics about discussion, visible in notions of abolishing the police and other (dangerous) absurdities.
@TomDestry2 жыл бұрын
He didn't say they were independent, just that those are three options. In a different part, he mentions being against 'aggressive violence', as opposed to violence, so he's clearly reserving the option of violence for defence. Which makes me wonder why you are calling him naïve.
@Nill7572 жыл бұрын
@@TomDestry True enough. Many will, and do, think of that list as independent, and put off the back up, the last resort, on to somebody else, the cop or the like, and then condemn them for entering a situation where they inevitably don’t know the history, who did what. It’s not this way everywhere. Start a discussion in Mexico, then resort to insults to shut the other guy down, and it’s still very common to take a punch to the face. So you can argue that in this current moment there are no active systems that work against black people BUT to say that the foundations laid half a century ago have no bearing on the current state of the socio-economic balance in this country is disingenuous. Redlined housing market(equity) blocking men from union jobs(pensions) and the literal destruction of black money( black Wall Street.) Then you have the effect of poverty(drugs, gangs and mass incarceration). In my opinion America is a racist country for the simple fact that we as a nation set black Americans back for 100 years and when it’s all said and done it’s about “accountability”, accountability for who?

Completely unrelated, but at 13:15 when he says "there is many different tribes", shouldn't it be "there are many different tribes" since "tribes" is plural? At least that is how I remember being taught, but I notice that all the time in media and daily conversation. Can someone clarify if I'm in the wrong here.

It's because Reason is more of a superficial tabloid than a real news outlet. When they ran stories about the Libertarian Party takeover they didn't even ask WHY or HOW it happened in their articles or interviews.

@@OtherConvosSB Yeah, once in a rare blue moon they run a decent piece, but most of it is delusional libertarian drivel.

@@Martial-Mat I have no problem with right or left libertarianism. It's certainly better that any authoritarianism. My problem with Reason is the laziness.

Well he did say DJT wasn’t perfect. Progressive liberal leaders here in the USA make racist comments often. If DJT is so racist, why was he popular with rappers? Why did he support HBCU before becoming President?

When Zuby was talking about the importance of traveling out of country, I had an idea how to get the American youth to do just that. When people graduate from high school, there we should require that they all either serve at least one tour of duty in a branch of the military or the same amount of time in an organization like the Peace Corps. That would give them all a chance to see what life is like in other countries and we could do for all of them what we do for military vets today...pay for a four-year degree. That would have the additional benefit of reducing the student debt numbers to zero over time. There are lots of other details to iron out, but I do believe this would benefit the country.

This latest nonsense has made me develop an absolutely unrecoverable level of disgust for the MSM and Hollywoord in General. Disgusting how they blame the people for their mess created regardless of whatever the outcome. Like yeah the media says trust us were based people trust ya; I really fail to understand why the citizen is blamed in this situation.
