I could really hear how happy you were to say "Through the magic of buying two of them,"! Don't worry about getting side tracked, It actually quite fun! I like your jokes! I laughed way harder than I should have when I noticed the nail polish on the one finger lol Love that the Gun Blue Cream has the same warnings as your hand soap lol It does also look like it would taste really good with that blue color! Nope, Not boring yet at all! Yeah, That cream really made the screws look almost like the bakelite! Man, That segment where you are showing the crank generating power is super entertaining! With your commentary on it you should call it something like Race For The Voltage! What are those crank things called? I'd love to get a few and mess with them since they output so much voltage! You should totally try directly hooking it up to a speaker and see what it sounds like! (You should get a junk speaker for that test lol) As always, I love your music choices! What's with the gramophone just appearing before quickly fading out again at 45:26? lol How much voltage does it output now that it's clean? You actually finished a project!!!! It looks great too! The Stuff in crayon kinda looks like TI96 but I'm not sure lol Two final things! One, I really love the coat you wear through this video! Two, Sorry if you got two emails showing this comment incomplete or something lol I accidentally kept posting it while I was writing it as I was adding to it throughout the video!

Yep, I was very pleased to be able to quote that! Glad you like my jokes and found the nail polish thing funny. With the removal bit at the end, I actually had to film it twice because I had my finger out of shot the first time. So I had to re-paint my nail to film removing the paint again. That creme really worked well, I was surprised as at first I was worried it had expired or something. Much easier than the traditional way which involves boiling the parts in a solution of potassium nitrate, sodium hydroxide and water. As well as looking nicer, it also rustproofs the steel. That hand soap will always make me laugh, I just can't believe no one spotted the issue. The crank thing is called a telephone magneto, although the schematic called it a generator. According to Wikipedia they usually produce 50 to 100V AC, so mine's on the low side. They would be fun to mess with, this one is an older one. The later ones are smaller and, at least according to an old pamphlet, generate more power, so they should be even more fun! I'll see if I have any scrap speakers, I think a light bulb could be more fun though to see if I can power it with my cranking. There was a display like that at the science museum here where you had to crank enough to power a toaster. It didn't power a real toaster though. I was worried I'd have to mess with the phones's wires again to do this, but I just realised it outputs straight to the phone line so I could just connect a light bulb to the line connections. I just measured it and the voltage output is about the same, 60V, I can get it just up to 70V if I crank hard. It goes much smoother now though. Happy you like my music choice, I've used this piece before but it's just so perfect for these videos, I'll probably be using it again and again. The gramophone appearing is an editing screw-up, there must have been a gap between video segments or I mis-clicked something. For the music I just import one of my record upload videos. Usually I catch that but I was editing for ages and wasn't as thorough with checking because the PC was struggling with such a long video. It annoys me but I can't fix it now, took ages to export the video and upload it. Yeah I have no idea what the crayon marking is, it's just too rubbed off, so your guess is as good as mine. Well it's better coz I don't have a guess. Thanks, I wore a few different jackets as this was filmed over a few weekends, I'm assuming you mean the dark blue one with the white fluffy lining (not sure if you see the lining in the video)? It's just a homebrand hoodie from a department store but it's really nice and warm. It's alright about posting your comment multiple times, I often add stuff to my comments and my emails are already a mess.

@@toomanyinterests You having to film that shot twice makes it even more funny lol The joke was subtle enough where I didn't notice the first time, I only realized what happened when I saw the bit of you rubbing it off at the end and I just about died laughing! Something about boiling the combination of potassium nitrate, sodium hydroxide and water sounds like it would release toxic fumes! Yeah, I will too! Keep HAND soap off of your HANDS lol Thanks! I found a bunch of the smaller ones on eBay for about 40 US$ a piece! I think I'll buy one sometime! I also have used small motors as magnetos before! As one of my first electronics projects, I put a crank on the shaft of a motor and an LED on the output lol I didn't use any kind of rectifier but I successfully made a really awful and literal flashlight! Yeah, I was guessing it was a small editing thing lol Don't worry though, I found it funny! I was talking about that brown/beige one lol You can get a good look at it here at about 49:48! Man, I should have spaced out my points like this in the last comment lol This is so much better and so much more readable!

@@Dedicatedtolivinginthepast Haha, you didn't spot it at first, I was worried I made it too obvious! Oh well good I didn't make it any more subtle or no one would've noticed it! It probably does release toxic fumes, there's another reason I'm glad I'm not doing it. 40 bucks each is a little high, maybe you can find bundles of parts for less. Or maybe I'm just a cheapskate. No, I'm definitely a cheapskate. Yep, motors and generators are basically the same thing, at school there was this demonstration thing where you cranked an old motor and it powered some neon indicator lamps. It was fun, I wanted to build one. The brown/beige hoodie I also got from a department store for half price, I thought I'd get something other than my usual black/grey/dark blue. Yeah I like paragraphs, sometimes I use them too much though. Like this.
