People who wear their heart on their sleeve seek reassurance from people who give mixed signals and act hesitant about moving a relationship forward because of their past. In a world filled with so many jaded liars who don't believe in love, but instead choose to play mind games it's no wonder so many seek reassurance. The fact is words are cheap. It's showing little acts of kindness, affection and doing good deeds without your partner needing to ask that makes the difference.

Thank you. I need to break the cycle. I'm sorry to my past love for my constant torment of reassurance seeking.

Yes, it’s true that reassurance-seeking can be painful for all involved. I wish you the best in your efforts to break the cycle.

I’m so sorry to hear… how incredibly worrisome and painful. I hope that in the end, everything will turn out in a way that is best for both of you.

Isn’t self reassurance seeking bad too?

I would guess it can be a problem if you obsessively have to reassure yourself because the self-reassurance doesn’t sink in. But that’s kind of a different situation than the what I’m recommending in the video, which involves an acceptance of uncertainty along with the supportive self-talk.

Is this ocd and rocd related? Or bpd???

Sometimes.... it depends.

I have ocd and rocd. Sometimes the fear of abandonement is also there, because I have a doubt whether my lover doesn't love me or not. So some aspects coincides with bpd. So my fear started whether rocd or bpd? Thoughts spiral.. Analysing and analysing...

To me, these types of issues can be more clearly explained by attachment styles (especially anxious-ambivalent) and most of the developmental trauma styles (especially the connection, attunement, autonomy survival styles). I have videos explaining all of these for freemon my youtube channel if you would like to watch them and see if they help describe your experience.
