As I sit here with a beautiful Kubey green titanium knife KUBEY KU204Tin hand and I am in awe of the design, the wonderful flipper deployment and then compare it to this fine looking Reate Baby Machine I have to ask myself where is the $220 differential with the exception of designer recognition? The rest is strictly subjection folks. You have to ask yourself other than collect ability where are the additional dollars in this knife, yeah, yeah, over travel stop and all the other workings but it ain't that complex an issue to sort out. Just sayin, someone please help me understand the difference.

I would say that finish is easily damaged. I have no anodized titanium knives that show ANY scratches. And some have been knocked off 3 1/2 feet off a shelf and look 100% like they did before. Geerbear, would you weigh in on this? Because if I'd shelled out the dough-re-mi for that Tashi, i'd be *ROYALLY PISSED* about those scratches!!! Stand up, LTK. You are the man with the power!

Thanks LTK. A lot of people buzzing about this knife, for awhile now. It seems to be a favorite of many. Could you have played with it for a little bit, with your left hand? I know I've left some marks on knives, with the ring on my finger. In that same spot.

Why are so many of the knives that you review suited for right-hand carry only?

Gary Horn Good question. I don’t actually intentionally look for right hand carry only knives to review but I guess the knives I review are a reflection of how the majority of knives are set up. Of course the Artisan Cutlery Knives offer right and left hand carry as do other knives from Cold Steel and Spyderco but it seems the majority of these knives are right hand only.

Looking at 3 knives to decide from. This, the Massdrop prism and the Kizer Mini Therium. All very similar designs. Any suggestions on these 3 would be great!

Got the knife..(in blue, too!)..sent it back...:-( I LOVE the visual of that Knife. It’s beautiful and unusual. The blade shape is so cool...I found it to be too small and with the smaller size the skinny tail I found it awkward to actuate. It was pretzeling my hand...and for the price...I just decided that it was a beautiful object...but at that cost I just felt that it was not a great "Knife", if that makes any sense? I do own a Goblin...which is much smaller but..I kept and really love that knife...so I am not totally turned off to small....but the Baby Machine I just could not Luv! I have a Rat Worx Chief coming..that has a thin tail, too...but its a larger knife. We will see!

LTK- I like the design, but that scratch is worrisome. I have a Prism coming. It is made by Reate, not WE. Seems Reate didn't want that known because it would expose that they overcharge for their knives. I thought Megatherium when I saw the blade shape too. The name is horrendous.

Nice looking knife, but I don't think I like it enough to fork over 320 bucks for it. The size doesn't bother me, because I live in a place where we have bull shit knife laws, so after awhile, I have gotten used to smaller knives. It just doesn't excite me enough to pay that much for it. Maybe if they knocked a hundred off the price, I would consider it, but we all know Reate isn't gonna do that, lol.
