A few years ago I repented to God then begged for help, "I was until then an Atheist." I then had a dream of Jesus coming before God and he spoke of the Tabernacle in perfect context, "A word I didn't know existed.", and what I felt from Jesus when I held him was unlike anything I've ever felt before - A lifetime of Love every second - It brought me to sobbing and it changed my life, forever. I've had Many experiences since, "Several witnessed", one was seeing a bright orb of light pass across my face in the dark, hours before a major surgery the second I gave up in my heart. Know that God and Jesus ARE real and that they Love us deeply. Let go of your hatred and Imagine yourself holding the people who've hurt you. Tell them you Love them. Always have hope, I believe that prayer, following God's laws & Love is the answer, and through that, Truly becoming humble, merciful, welcoming, giving, gentle, respectful, compassionate, patient, kind and forgiving, To All.

To put into perspective JaeDong's dominance in the past. At one point, his win rate in these tournaments (so no ladder or other casual stuff, just playing against the best) in ZvZ was 81%. And he had also many crazy games, with insane all-ins, incredible recoveries or simply extremely stubborn very entertaing plays. Like INSISTING on attacking 2 base only muta vs a terran which already had sci vessels and irradiate and still somehow manage to win despite all odds. Man, I so wish to see that JaeDong back. As I wish to see a vulture terrorist again. I really feel like too few terrans properly utilize vultures. That is, not just send some to mine and harrass, but CONSTANTLY send some to mine and harrass. Like not even getting to kill the vultures when another group comes in. Finally getting out of your base, only to be greeted by the 16th vulture raid party. NaDa was a sight to behold, and I'm missing it so much.

It's a shame they didn't add backward replay compatibility to Remastered, we have so many games that are only available as shit quality VODs or old replays you can only view on old patches.

@@2slick4u. Backward compatibility, meaning possibility to play old replays in Remastered with current patch (which is now impossible) I would imagine a game would need to somehow determine a patch version of a replay and then emulate that old patch.

Would be nice, but they're not teenagers living jn team houses and playing 16 hours a day anymore. Only way that this happens is with a fresh new generation of young guys with no/minimal family or other commitments. Seeing as SK's birth rate is in the negatives, Broodwar is over 20 years old, and RTS as a genre is not as popular as it used to be, it seems unlikely we'll ever see that sort of renaissance.
@gasstationpeanuts18149 ай бұрын
@@JordanR Not only that but the amount of repetitive stress injuries, carpal tunnel and the like that these "older" (30 is old in BW LOL) guys have dealt with and continue to deal with really restrains their ability to grind these days. Streaming income is really beginning to bring back the legends though. More and more of them will come back full time when they realize they can make up to $200-300k a year streaming.

Regarding the point that Flash is the only oldschool player who is at his previous level, well, by my reckoning pretty much everyone who's still playing actively is absolutely better (they'd be favored to beat their former selves in a mirror matchup). A point often gets made that players in team houses could drill 24/7, and the young players had not yet damaged their wrists, but the strategy has undoubtedly evolved, and even if the players have dropped some APM, I would expect their effective speed to better, again due to efficient play being more figured-out. And I'm not sure even that is true, since I did go back to watch some KESPA-era games and they don't strike me as impressive even mechanically. That being said, Flash has maintained his championship quality relative to the rest of the playing field while e.g. Stork, Bisu, and Jaedong no longer posses theirs, but I can think of other former players who still have it, such as EffOrt.
@RJB_TV10 ай бұрын
most players actually play faster than their Kespa days. Lot of 240-280 apm players now consistently sit at 320-350. Mechanics have definitely improved overall too purely because they have had another full decade of extra practice. Grinding practice has in scientific studies already been proven to have greatly diminished returns compared to less but highly goal oriented practice. Also in Kespa days players kept way more secrets to themselves, now they stream (almost) everthing and everybody can copy one another through first person pov vods. The only real downside players have now is carpal tunnel syndrome messing with their endurance. Talked to some players and there's really almost no proper knowledge amongst players on how to keep your wrists healthy. Lastly, gaming gear has greatly improved too. Better computers, better mouses, better keyboards, etc.
@stambe860510 ай бұрын
@@RJB_TV Dont forget that in SC:R we have the option to rebind hotkeys, which GREATLY increases efficiency. Another thing to keep in mind is that on lowest latency in SC:R, the game is even more responsive the vanilla BW + we have in game clock so the you can optimize better than ever.
@Zraknul10 ай бұрын
@stambe8605 yeah the game clock seems like it helps a lot. Knowing vs feeling on timings, especially after some damage has messed up their internal clock a bit.

Artosis..... you missed the 3RD ROBO and 2nd Stargate being put down by Snow. Would have been sick to see a Fleet Beacon for Dweb. That's truly the most epic combo in pvz.
@DonnePlummer6910 ай бұрын
I used to do that combo (reaver/shuttle +dweb) even in PVT or PVP. I'd just disable static defenses with d-web and have the reavers go wild while I was hitting them with gateway units somewhere else. I'm always surprised to never see d-web in professional play.
@freehatespeech68049 ай бұрын
@@DonnePlummer69 Koreans use d web when they go corsair reaver if it goes to lategame. Look up Stork vs GGPlay on Andromeda. Andromeda was a map on which sair reaver was the standard way to play (it was Zerg favoured if you played gateway style)

At what point did they start adding the eggs on each map? I haven't watched any games since like 2008 so I'm kinda out of the loop, but I don't remember those yellow eggs being as common back then.
@Matt-ln7lb9 ай бұрын
Honestly, I think reavers are a bit underrated in PvZ. They cost less gas than templar, are cheaper to tech into, and deal a lot more consistent damage. Sure, scarabs bugging sometimes sucks, but it's hard to make that happen, and it's very difficult for Zerg to dive them with lings/hydras. They give a much more stable defense against any Hydra based attacks. Of course, if the Zerg has a spire, scourge make shuttling them around very risky and they can't help against mutas, but moving a push a little bit slower to negate the risk of scourge isn't going to cripple the Protoss, and if the Zerg doesn't go spire, Shuttled reavers have pretty much free reign, as was the case in this game. The reason they aren't seen early so much is likely mainly due to the threat of mass mutas, rather than something like the risk of them getting caught by hydras while being shuttled around.

Jaedong is so interesting to watch. He plays the way I would play. Which is basically constantly switching gears. Making you think you're getting all inned and go for macro play. Make you think you're going greedy on macro but hit a timing attack. I feel like jaedong was so good for so long, but now he is not playing as well. He is playing the style which is afforded to a stronger player that he has not really been lately. I feel like jaedong needs to take a step back, focus on fundamentals before going back to free drawing like he has been doing lately. He has lost footing on his fundamentals. But once he regains them again, his free creative switcheroo playstyle will Excell and he will be unstoppable. End rant.
