I’ve been using a ton of different stuff. I really like numakers pla but now I might switch entirely to polymaker cospla. I also want to start vapor smoothing ABS. If you don’t have proper ventilation I recommend sticking to PLA

Hey there. I know it's a year since this video was posted but I would like to know if you get any issues when you use a 3.7V battery on a 5V system. Are the leds just a little bit "weaker" shining?

First of all, thanks for this awesome work. I printed everything on a regular FDM printer (Ender-3 S1 Pro) - even the transparent parts. I tried to light it up with a regular LED stripe that I had laying around, and it looked great. Now I'm struggling a bit with the main body parts, they just won't fit on my printer. After rotating the parts quite a bit, I found an angle that could work in theory (from the bottom-left corner to the top-right corner), but I on every try, it completely killed the spikey parts around the trigger (don't know how they are called), no matter what kind of support I used. Any hints on how I could split the main parts? I tried to cut them into two halves, but this didn't look very neat after glueing the parts together. I also have a second question about the acrylic tube, which should be 1/2". As I live in Germany, it's next to impossible to get an acrylic tube with this diameter. I tried to measure, and I think, a 13mm diameter should fit perfectly, but this diameter doesn't seem to be very standard. Can I just get a 12mm tube, or is the tube required for stability? Edit: I just cut the big parts into two halves and glued them together. Yeah that one has some big problems with just squeezing electronics in. I salvaged a battery just small enough but I haven’t been able to source a similar one. It’s coming! Soonish!

Hey, I'm trying to build the vandal atm and I have a question. Why didn't you use a battery pack with 5v output (or 4.8v)? Then you don't need that step up converter right? And where do you place the controller, stepup converter and battery pack in the weapon? Is it in the very end? 😊

Hi! I never needed a step up with the ws2812 strips, they work well at slightly low voltage, but it all goes in the stock so there’s plenty of room for a small lipo and board if you prefer.

@@SaidaProps Ooh okay, thank you. So you just need that charger board to charge the battery pack right? I was a bit confused by the title of it on Amazon. Are you able to have the light turned on while you charge it?

@@Lucas-ev9ec Yeah so basically if you want it as a stream backdrop thing I’d skip the battery entirely and just use a usb cord. If you want it to be wireless you can use three AAs or a lipo and the charger board. With the charger board I linked the lights do go on while charging

@@SaidaProps Yeah the thing is, I'm trying to have both so I can have it on the wall with permanent light and also with batterys for conventions etc. All parts are already printed and they just need to be painted. After that I will see how well my plan goes with the electricity 😅 Can you tell me how long one of the 1000 mAh lipos can power the vandal?

Thank you! Yeah I know this one is a little over the top and massively labor intensive lol. I can it might take me a while though. I’ve got a huge rush for projects up until Halloween. If you need something quick I recommend yokai3dstudio’s version on Cults3d!

I printed everything on an FDM printer. For the transparent parts, I used PETG (nobufil). This looks great even without light, and if you change your mind, you still can put some LEDs there (and I would highly recommend that, it looks just awesome!)

For techniques punished props. I recommend his blade runner gun that thing is flawless. Also just looking at Volpin props’ Instagram (that’s more for motivation) My main skill is the 3d modeling, I’ve been using blender for a couple years now and it’s been fantastic. I started with the donut but I really struggled to find 3d printing focused tutorials.

One of my main goals is to contribute back to the blender community so I’m planning to do very specific game file to high quality print tutorials. But with blender it’s learning to model, think with quads and know how to precisely control the subsurface modifier.

Unfortunately no the main body just barely fits on my cr-10 (300mm x 300mm bed) you would need to split it up. Also the stock which I recommend printing vertically is too tall for ender 3.
