PHARRAOH Thanks man! I need to post more, just been out of the loop. I didn’t say anything about this but Mr. Reavis mined for gold near the East Fork San Gabriel, in California, before moving back to Arizona. Pretty cool stuff! Take care.

Nice video; I take it the cabin isn't there anymore? I have spent several nights in the old cabin on several different trips into the apple orchard, first trip was in my 1942 Willys jeep, before the wilderness area kept motorized vehicles out, have been back hiking and on mules several times, but the last time was over 30 years ago, I am 75 years young already!! Time flies when you're having fun, and being a born again Christian these last 33 years, has made my life a faith filled joyful experience. Thank you, Jesus my King and my God!!! Thanks you HB hiker for the memories.

Hello! Unfortunately the cabin was burned down around Thanksgiving in 1991. I would have loved to see this homestead in 1942! You have seen what most have only experienced through old pictures and literature. Outstanding! Peace be with you sir! Thanks for the comment!

Phil Livingston The Superstitions was my stomping ground when the weather was cool. This fire is devastating, makes me sad... Do you think the trails will be open in October? Have they found the culprit or how it was started? I want to go back and see if the Juniper tree and the orchard survived. Thanks for stopping by, David.

VodnyyOwl 1405 I read that they dropped chemical filled ping-pong ball like spheres, from the air, starting a low intensity fire, to burn off fuel before the fire pushed through that area. From what know they said it was successful. Has anything changed? I’ve been on a consistent news hunt, wondering the fate of this beautiful area.

tazz11 I usually just backpack in and spend the night. I do my best to look up the history of the trail I’m hiking, sorta gives more depth to my adventure. I guess the treasure I seek is history, not gold, but if I found some gold, I’d be okay with that. I would totally be down to hunt for the Dutchman’s gold mine though! What kind of expedition are we talking about?

16 sites all historical yes one is LDM ...but I am researching the Seven caves and I found them but I have not found a way in yet ... and I have a old Jesuit church site I want to take a close look at . I found the remains of Cibola in 2003 and the LDM in 2006 . I am really not looking for gold at all but the history that surrounds these site , I am a x navy special ops QM ...and a shaman 1/3 Mohawk ....I have made some amazing finds and will go back one more time ... I want to be on site fore about two weeks ...don't get me wrong this is not a cake walk . one of the biggest mountain lion live in the area . and yes I have seen him up close...to close ..lol any one can go hiking out there but this is off trail and can get real... fast ! you have to have a smart head on your shoulders ,people try to follow me into the MTs all the time ...if its excitement your looking for ..watch the new movie " time trap" me and another Dutch hunt have both seen what looks like real Aztec warriors walking around in one isolated area .. two different people see the same thing in one area ? but I saw where one of them came from .. I can not explain how .. but I know what i saw ..I want to go back and research where he came from ...some kind of time portal or just some hidden underground city lost in time ...but very real...spring or fall of 2020
