​@@MilesAnastasios87No, you're right he didn't learn theory cuz he saw what it was doing to the people at Berklee when he was there. But he does have a great ear apparently he's got perfect pitch and he managed to develop a really great tapping technique. He also learned to let his solo's breathe and that's I think one advantage that he had over a lot of other lead guitarists Is he didn't smother his solos in a barrage of notes. He could throw down with the best of them but he also knew when to ease off and let the music breathe and that more than anything really helped to distinguish him. His solos like headed for a heartbreak and the sands of time from Whitesnake demonstrate this really well
