These guys were not only great people, but as a band, they were some of the best musicians there was in country music. There's a live show with Reba on KZbin and this band was as tight as it got. Not only did reba's sound completely change after 91, she lost a great deal of herself. She will never have another drummer as good as Tony, nobody will ever compliment her voice the way Paula Kaye did, no other guitarist will ever have her back like Michael, and Jim Hammond can never be replaced. RIP

It's hard to beleive that this happened 20 years ago. I was supposed to see Reba in concert in Denver. This was a sad loss for Reba and the families of those lost. I think that the trees are a wonderful way to remember those that were lost. Reba never forgets her band or her fans. Thank you.

I remember that day so well. I was listening to the radio and the DJ just got done playing a Reba song and then said, 'the world of country music is saddened today as Reba's band went down in a plane crash. First I thought Reba was on board. She then said, Reba who had been suffering from a bout of bronchitis stayed behind and was not on board the doomed flight. It was a sad day indeed. I back then was a major fan and did the backstage meet and greets. Fun times. RIP guys. Not forgotten.

This touches my heart so much. I was born in the October of that year but being a huge fan of Reba and her music saddens me that she and the world had to go through such a horrific loss. The Lord is working on my heart as I listen to them play and sing together. 8 stars shine so brightly in the heavens.

I remember this sad time so vividly, like it was just yesterday. Reba's album , "For My Broken Heart" she recorded later that yr, helped heal my broken heart from 1978 when 5 yr old my daughter was killed by a drunken driver as I'm sure it helped Miss Reba to record it. Music does indeed help heal broken hearts. I still listen to the song, "If I Had Only Known" when I am remembering my daughter. THANK YOU, REBA!

Ms. McEntire, Life is so very fragile. I feel many losses this day given our situation as it is with this pandemic . I find your gospel music to give encouragement that is very needed. I remember this tragedy years ago. Tony Saputo was a classmate of mine. I knew his siblings as well. I pray that you know, how your faith and music bring people of faith protection during these times. My most sincere condolences on the passing of your Mother. I know you probably won't see my entry here... I find your message of Jesus Christ uplifting. God bless you and your family. Be Well and God Bless.

@Ashley1955 Sorry. I can only imagine losing a friend like that. I'm a guitarist, haven't played drums in a while, but I have to say this. I've watched a Reba concert on youtube and I have to say this; Tony was an insanely great drummer. Wish I could hear all the Crazy 8 boys play again.
