It's to encourage them to actually build manufacturing plants in the country,which will be far more beneficial than reducing the import tax ey. And to that Toyota is building a 1.1bn rand plant in Durban rn,due to open next year in July. Which is long overdue considering the brands popularity in South Africa and Africa as a whole

I remember back in 2012 asking myself who would buy a C180 which has 1.5 engine for R375k? Today that amount buys a budget car😮. How times have changed.

Love it when you serve us heat after heat after heat! (Tiguan, CLE, now this!). My money would be on the Fronx, hope and pray they have that color over at Suzuki coz its the one to have. A better looking front end but Id save the 4k. For me Suzuki are just as tried and tested as Toyota.

The best thing about this car is the fact you're getting 6.6L/100km out of an SUV crossover with a 4 speed automatic in what lookes like congested stop start traffic (safe to say mix driving at the very least) what other car can say all that in one sentence ! You faild to mention the Mahindra 3XO as one of its competitors (and main competitor) as the Mahindra 3XO MX3 automatic is R20,000 cheaper with similar spec to the GL Fronx automatic. However the Mahindra 3XO actually gets around 8L/100km in real world driving ! So its a very tough choice for any South African especially my relatives over there who can't decide lol 😆

@RebaSCars it would be really nice if you could test drive the MX3 as apposed to the AX5 or AX7L because most people are probably looking at the R299,000 (or under) price point and the MX3 automatic is slightly less than that ! Although the best value for money in my opinion is the AX5 manual for R319,000 very nearly as much equipment as a GLX Fronx manual but R15,900 cheaper ! It's a shame about the fuel economy 😔

The 4 speed auto gearbox for long-distance travels is a bit turnoff. I keep wondering why Toyota doesn't offer sunroof on its cars. 😮😮

Part of the reasoning behind the pricing for Toyota is to push buyers towards suzuki and not overshadowing the as they are not as big, and it's really working for them because, there are more suzuki vehicles on the road than ever before. Then there's the fuel economy part. Suzuki nailed it with that 1.2 (on the swift) and 1.5 engines.

Suzuki would be my choice but white colour, NEVER EVER buy a dark colour, those things get dirty quickly and the scratches get visible overtime, white colour or grey still remain a good clean colour for a car.

I got the starlet cross cheaper than what the suzuki people were offering on the fronx and they were not budging. So go negotiate, u can get the starlet cross cheaper than the fronx 🎉🎉🎉 I did! Battle the dealers against each other😂

@Gomolemomolokwane I first got an OTP from Suzuki and then I took it to toyota. 3 different Toyota dealerships. I am worried to post the dealership names here, and they started giving me different OTPs cheaper than Suzuki. I went back to Suzuki and showed them what Toyota was offering, and they were like it's because they don't have stock and yes they didn't but I was willing to wait honestly, i think stock arrived this month. Then the one Toyota dealership found a car for me. And that was it show them the OTP u get and try a couple different dealerships Toyota will even fight against each other to give u better offer. They all want to just make a sale. So negotiate even the extras u can get them for free.

I really love the fronx. The tank size is small though I mean 37l is like picanto 35l so that’s something they can improve slight more weight but more range helps But if you can afford top spec fronx then maybe save little get a Suzuki Grand Vitara entry spec cause now space better 😮 Either way it’s the affordability that will drive you to correct car😊

Hi Reba. I like your reviews, however I would like to give you my review of your reviews, because I want you to improve. Firstly, I noticed in your reviews that you give the verdict mid the video. In the middle of the video, please also talk about the build quality, the spaciousness of the vehicle, the overall facts of the car while also leaving comments on those individual topics and try to reserve the verdict for the end bit of the video. Secondly, I noticed that when you move from scene to scene (like between 6:23- 6:24, most of the time the blend is not seamless. I would I advise you that after concluding a certain scene, give a shot of the car and do not lay your scenes on top of each other. Allow the first scene to end, then after a second or two (while giving the shot of the car.. also depending on whether you have some kind of music playing in the background) you can start the next scene. Speaking of scenes, I noticed that you repeated a scene in this video about 3 times. I'll forgive that and hope as you improve, your camera crew also improves. I hope you improve on the coherence and independence of your speech. Not every car is pretty, and not every interior is amazing. Some cars are, for example, suave and the interior can be decent. Don't get used to making mistakes, it makes you look like you don't know what you're doing or you have no passion for what you are doing. And girl, you don't have to sing in every video. I think you have a good personality, however, when it comes to your profession, one's personality is better as a tease or a mistery and not as sugarcoating for the entire video. This comment is in no way intended to offend, and it's okay if you are, but i also hope that it serves it's purpose which is to help you improve. I love to see women in male dominated spaces and nailing it, which is why I'm rooting for you. I like your videos and I hope and know that you will improve.
