Rebbie made that decision ever since she was 18. She really didn't want to get into the music industry. She believe in the traditional family -- marrying the love of her life, having children, and being a full-time mom and housewife. Joe was completely against the idea, and it took him a while to come around and approve of her getting married. Of course, it wouldn't be Joe Jackson if he walked her down the aisle, which he didn't. Although he approved the wedding, he wanted no part of it. Rebbie did put out a few songs, sure, but she was never in it for the fame like her brothers and sisters.

I never understood what happened with the relationship with Brownstone and why the label folded. I got the impression Michael wasn't really the one operating things. It's almost like his name was on the label...but he didn't actually have a lot of control over what happened to the artists signed to the label. I have to look more into it. I really am curious. I get so curious about the business arrangements that the Jackson family got involved in.
