I always liked the idea of Rebbie being the "captain" of the family, the one that never got fully corrupted by fame and the life that comes with it. The person who could take the pressure of the mum, who could shoulder everyone's burden while living her own life as a wife and mother. I hope today she is able to live a peaceful life, it sounds like one of the grandkids of the Jacksons' (one of the brothers from that group 3T) is stepping up as the Captain now.

Mrs. Walter is by profession is an investigative reporter that was her career for many years. That his how she landed on 20/20. Keep in mind before they do these interviews they send a list of questions that the want to ask, and the person being interviewed people make a decision which ones they will or will not answer. Nine times out of ten, the family welcomed being interviewed that is why they sent the best person to represent the family. They knew there was flying rumors and wanted to use someone that is respected in the world of journalism to ask the hard questions. This was a great interview between Rebbie and Barbara. The question was asked and answered very well and thoroughly. Everyone else asked their fluff questions. It was over all a great interview.

I thought that their line of questioning was offensive, insensitive and disrespectful of Rebbie's feelings. To include Barbara and the way she asked about Michael's will stating what she heard from "reports", and asking about the kids going to Diana. Just plain horrible interview. Rebbie was grieving and they asked her to be on that show to maul her down like that. Whoopi and Joy on the other hand, was courteous of her feelings and chimed in with their contributions appropriately and respectfully.

Barbara Walters should be ashamed of herself for the questions she asked. She's the only one who delved into personal family matters and details about the will, while others discussed Rebbie's life and career. Totally crappy interviewing. As tacky as her boots.

I am sure that Rebbie knew and understood that shows like these and host like these were going to ask those questions, afterall, the Jackson's are not new to this. But i do agree that it was a poor interview, but i am not a fan of multi host shows like this anyway.....

If Joe Jackson had gotten help, all of the pain he caused all them kids might have been alleviated. I really wish people learn to deal with their issues, rather than pretending it's not there. Entire generations are affected when we don't deal with our ish.

Lynne Nydick you and we the public don’t really know this man .. it’s amazing to me how we can really speak into the private affairs of entertainers family .. all families have complex dynamics. Some more than others..all have cracks and issues that need healing.. Micheal is loved and he aired some of his hurt in public about his dad so people naturally take his side..in retrospect I am sure he regretted it.. latoya did as well against Micheal and maybe her dad and she has been reported to have regret doing this.. none of the others have aired their personal family affairs that I can recall.. they have tried to get janet to do it and she wouldn’t .this man despite what you think you know was responsible for his family getting a chance at a better life..
