I love Hot Ones as an interview show, but the quality of these Last Meals episodes is quickly making them become my new favorite. As a semi-functioning adult member of society, I have become staunchly pro-authenticity and anti-assholery. When the Friday song came out, I was still someone who listened to Jim Rome's sports talk show, which is rich in assholery, and in a weird way, I remember him and his callers just crapping all over a song by a 13 year old girl, and it was actually a turning point in my anti-assholery journey. I'm glad Ms. Black is able to be genuine and let it rip, and let the chips fall where they may. Assholery is not useful and I'm glad she has learned to deal with it.

But Josh has the amazingly honest skill & empathy to make them all feel so safe & heard. And he still brings his own personality and volubility into every interview.
