Merry Christmas everyone! Once again, I have created a Zelda medley as a gift to you all! It contains many of the water related themes from the LoZ series. For this piece, I tried to create a smooth, dreamy, impressionistic mood, as though diving into a dream, travelling through the shallows and the depths, exploring wonders, dangers and moods, and then, finally, waking in the sunlight. I had the help of three amazing performers in this arrangement, including Gamer of the Winds on flute and piccolo, Medlix on oboe and english horn, and Steven Higbee on ocarina. I highly recommend checking out their channels, as they've all produced many beautiful tracks!

As i mentioned, i live in Alaska and i pretty routinely take scenic photos. We also got overloaded with snow this year. Bad for getting around and workload but good for asthetics. When i have a moment i will be putting together a photo album just for you. While i retain the right to use the same photos for my own purposes, you will be free to use them with total freedom INDEFINITELY. Basically, effectively your property. My way of giving back and thanking you for many; well over a hundred good nights sleep and counting.

I toyed with the idea of adding that one for months, to be honest. Ultimately, I decided it was a little bit too heavy and sinister compared to the other meditative and relaxing water themes, especially since the song was already getting so long! I'm going to be making two more medleys like this for the wind and fire elements - I'll definitely be putting the MC dungeon themes into those! ^^ Also, the Minish Woods theme is in my Forest themes medley.

Theo Von on the Joe Rogan Experience episode #1847. Joe and Theo use smelling salts on the podcast. At one point Theo says, "It felt like someone was playing Legend of Zelda in my lungs, brother." It was pretty damn funny. You don't have to know what Legend of Zelda is to understand the joke, yet it is clear what he means. Theo is like a poet. Invoking the Legend of Zelda has a nice ring to it and in the context of using smelling salts it brings connotations of potions, explosions, magic spells and the like. He also likened the sensation of the smelling salts to a sword. I very much enjoy attempts at reducing a thing to its essence by isolating its most defining elements. Here Theo achieves this in the most abstract way someone probably could.
