I have TWO raskog carts !! Both of the top shelves I put on upside down, so it is a table rather than a tray. On one is my BigShot and my dies on lower baskets. On the second cart is my cuttlebug which I only use for embossing!! Below are all my embossing folders!! Very very sturdy and I can wheel them right to my desk!!!!!

You might want to check out the we r memory keepers table top item for the 3 tier carts. It gives you a table top surface but you can then still use the top basket for something. I keep extra white cardstock, a watercolor palette, and my scoring tool in there and when I need them I just lift the tray off. Works great.

Cathy Zielske you can get the SUNNERSTA cups and a pack of 5 SUNNERSTA hooks for 99 cents each from Ikea for your cart and I’m guessing much cheaper than the WRMK stuff.

Since the pockets in the hanging fabric organizer are gusseted I would insert a cardboard box of some kind to help keep the opening accessible. Maybe a cereal box? Or, it looks like perhaps the size of boxes that come from $🌳 containing “Crunch’n’Munch” or “Fiddle Faddle”? It just seems like the openings need that extra support.

I got one of these but now don't see the practicality of them; so, the title of your video caught my attention! That said, a lot of the stuff I see you've put in there, I've seen you put around your desk more conveniently. It always seems to me that getting the stuff on the middle and lower shelves are hard to get access to and make me wonder why exactly, people NEED a rolling cart? I've seen ONE (somewhere) that the shelves pull forward. THAT one would make more sense...if I need to roll my stuff around. This video makes me think you were just 'looking' for stuff to put in it that you already have at your desk. I like your videos and you are adorable, but - Still not sure I'm not going to ditch my cart.
@RebeccaKeppel3 жыл бұрын
I need a BIG open space on my desk AND I don't have a lot of room in this space for more furniture so the craft cart is the best option for me at this time. I've had to share this space with my husband since last March when he started working from home. If I had the second desk in here I would definitely love to put more on a desk out in the open but it's just not in the cards right now. It's true the third shelf gets short shrift, that's why I put stuff I rarely use but don't want to get rid of down there. With the organizer bin in the second shelf it's actually pretty easy to flip through and grab what I need and obviously top shelf is easy access.

Thank you so much for this video :’D
@RebeccaKeppel2 жыл бұрын

Hi Rebecca, just a quick question I thought all the pens should be stored flat. How are yours behaving with you storing them upright please? A lot of my storage goes to store pens and they are taking up so much room on my shelves. I hope you get an opportunity to answer this one. Hugs xxxx
@RebeccaKeppel4 жыл бұрын
I do store my Copics flat, well, kind of slanted, but basically flat. I have a storage system for my Tombows that is vertical though and they seem to be fine that way. Pretty sure it depends on the pen. I do like to keep white gel pens in a cup on my desk because that ink can harden right in the barrel if it is not stored the right way, but things like cheap watercolor markers and Sharpies and even the glitter markers should be fine stored that way. I think it really depends on the pen, so maybe check the website for the ones you have and see what they recommend.

I have two of those carts. They are literally my craft space. My kitchen table is my work space but it has double duty as an actual kitchen table. So because I had to get creative with my crafting space I bought two, but one of them I bought the wood cart toppers for each bin. This created a lot more space to hold small storage containers, paper, anything stackable. I keep less used items in the bin so I'm not clearing the tops off all the time to get to those items. I didn't think of freezer bins, I've been searching for some bins that fit. I also have the dividers in my amazon cart. Glad you showed them because I thought they were sturdier. I'm going to try attaching a magnet on the outside of the cart to see if that will hold them in place. Thanks for sharing.

I have those organizers and was amazed at how well they are made, and how much they hold. I didn't know about the dividers...will have to watch for those. But I do have the wooden covers that fit over the top of the tiers and have found those very useful as well. I store my laminator in one of the tiers I do wish though that there were a couple extra hooks. And those bins that come with the organizer are awesome! But thanks for the organizing lesson as mine needs to be redone, and since I just got the organizers, haven't done that yet. Love your ideas.

I use the larger pencil boxes (you know the ones at Wal-Mart that cost about a dollar that once cost 50 cents)(get them now as they have a bunch for back to school). I fill each with different pens, ie, Distress Markers, glitter pens, Sharpies, Gelatos, Zentangle stuff, etc. I label them and stack them on end to get many boxes on one shelf. My larger pen/pencil collections I store in purpose built tote cases (Arteza has a great case)and are stored on the top shelf of my cart. Michael's now have 3 models of carts. I got the large one to store all my dies and stamps. Hope it doesn't fold like a taco under all the weight.

I have 2 of the ikea trolleys, I had one for several years, then. Decided to get a second. They are over flowing with stuff! I am in the process of reworking and painting my craft spot, and now deciding what and how to use them. I am fairly certain I will be using one for every thing that adheres papers and or other things together. Tapes glues, zyron sticker makers and so on. The other I am thinking will be my journal stuffs, I have plenty of writing things, and a few things I use often. I am in hopes of just pulling what ever up to the desk and use them and then push it back to its place. I sure hope it all works out, it has been a disastrously mess for too long. We shall see.

Thanks for this great review, Rebecca. My only question is really for American Crafts: why not make this in something other than white? That white is going to show every bit of Copics, glitter paste, Pen & pencil tip marks, etc. I would prefer black but that’s just me. Even WRMK turquoise would be better than white, however that doesn’t go with everyone’s cart whereas black does. Just a thought …

It prints beautifully, but for some reason I can't get it to print from the network anymore. :( But I'll see what I can do!

I dont have a craft caddy, as I can't fit anymore storage in my art space 🤭 I have a big craft cupboard and under desk storage, but I did get a wheelable tile topped caddy, its made for the kitchen but it works perfectly in my room, I can easily move it back and forth between my two desks, the tile top makes it perfect to wipe clean when I've been using my airbrush or inks, its also great for my die cutting machine to suction onto, which means it doesn't clutter up my desk up whist I'm creating, it has draws and shelves too, I've found that the slatted shelves give me a place to stand up all my (glass) cutting mats, embossing boards, my guillotines cutting plates & my new A4(its sooo gorgeous)light tablet... It also doubles up as a beverage centre for when I'm doing nails... I had a delivery today for another item that isn't specifically for crafting but I'm hoping my idea works out as one!... I cant wait to try it out and share it so others can try it for themselves, but thats a comment for another day... ...🤗... Thank you again for your caddy tips, take care and stay safe my lovely... 💫😷✏🤗🖍😷💫

@@RebeccaKeppel Thank you so much for replying, it really means alot to me... I watched another crafters room reveal/tour yesterday and It was amazing, everything had its very own place and it all matched perfectly the furniture, the curtains, the wall units & shelves were all sparkly and new, it looked like it was straight out of a magazine or from a home makeover show... It really was stunning and if I'm being honest it left me feeling a little deflated and has made me think perhaps I'm not ready to put my craft space on KZbin or that I'm the right type of person to do a vlog, its definitely got me thinking... Especially as most of my storage doesn't match, the bits and pieces that I do have are things I've adapted and repurposed to suit my needs, I was going to 'try' and create a theme so it has some sort of cohesion, I have an 'L' shape desk for my nail area and a large adjustable desk for my crafting area, I have a mini fridge and beverage zone (I got the idea from a KZbinr called "Kelly Barlow" she created a festive beverage centre and I loved the idea!)its mainly so I can get things for myself, so its close at hand... Sorry I'm waffling on again... As always I look forward to your next video... Stay safe my lovely...💫

@@Bubs2375 oh my friend that makes me sad. I keep trying to remind myself that comparison is the thief of joy. I've seen those big room tours too of what seems professionally done studios. And it is impossible not to wish I could have that, but the space I am in is a SMALL extra bedroom (which means we don't have a dedicated space for family when they visit) and since Covid, my husband is sharing the space too so that he can work from home. Your space seriously sounds amazing and it sounds like it is uniquely you which no one else could duplicate! If you've ever seen a Marie Forleo video, she always says, "the world needs that special gift that only you have." Much love, Rebecca

@@RebeccaKeppel Thank you Rebecca, I really appreciate your kind words... And your right it will be the perfect space because its been made just for me, to suit my needs & ability, I have never had a room of my very own, even growing up I always shared a room, I went from sharing with my sister straight into sharing with my husband... ...🙄😩😄... If it wasn't for my husband's encouragement, hardwork and kindness my room would never have been possible, I am so grateful & blessed to have him by my side... I am sooo excited & eager for it to be finished and I'm looking forward to being able to create new craft projects and to start working down my inspiration list that I've been keeping whilst all my precious crafty treasures have been packed away, its a long list...🤗... I've had time to think about that ladies craft room, and I think it looked way too clean and tidy especially for "Crafting Warriors" like ourselves... ...😊🦸🏼♀️🤭... We know the struggles of finding glitter absolutely everywhere, even when we haven't used it in weeks... ...😉... I hope you have a wonderfully creative weekend... ...👩🏼🎨... Thank you again, you really cheered me up... Take care and stay safe my lovely... 💫😷✏🎨🖍😷💫

Do you like your Epson photo printer and do you have to replace the ink very often?
@RebeccaKeppel4 жыл бұрын
I do like it. The quality is very good. Honestly I haven't used it in a long time, but I don't remember having the replace the ink very often when I was using it more consistently. My biggest problem was printing wirelessly. It worked fine for a long time and then I couldnt get it to print wirelessly so I had to plug it in to my mac to get it to work.

I heard some carts have a cover , a piece of plastic that covers these trays. So u get a work platform as well. So u know about these? Where to get them?

I wish we could get those fridge bins in the cheap shops over here in the Uk, we can get different containers, but the fridge bins would be so much better, I looked on Amazon and they cost around £12 each, I'm sure they have cheaper ones but not as cheap as I'd like. I'm off to have a look see if I can find the bins and books rtf from memory keepers over here, knowing my luck they will cost a lot to send here......grrrr.....I wish I had the money to buy the goodies I want lol, but then I would only spend it on all the craft goodies that I sooo need lol (I've got a 40 yr collection, not much I need) but I'm sure you know what I mean, it not a want, it's a crafty need lol hugs xxxAnnxxx
@RebeccaKeppel4 жыл бұрын
Lol, you're right "crafty NEED" should be added to the dictionary! It is so disappointing that we all haven't figured out a better and cheaper way to ship internationally considering all the current technology and global economy! Fingers crossed you find what you NEED. :) Thanks for watching!
@denysehopkins63354 жыл бұрын
Look at Amazon KICHLEY, scroll down a page or two, passed their gadgets, there's 8 fridge bins for £24 or 6 for £19. I literally bought them to keep my fridge tidy and for easy access to stuff at the back. But i ended up with 2 spare for my crafts. Sturdy and would buy again. Good luck xx

Do those cups tip the cart over?
@RebeccaKeppel2 жыл бұрын
No they don't! But I definitely have some pretty heavy things in the cart itself to weigh it down rather than just the cups which don't hold as much so they can't tip it over.

I attached a small skadis pegboard to the side of my cart.

Mary-Rose did you use the pegboard hooks and trays? How did the pegboard work out and how did you attach it to the the Raskog?
@mary-rosesullivan53194 жыл бұрын
I used the little metal bar that comes with it for fixing to the wall and just put the metal piece behind the leg piece down the side of the raskog and then used the screws to attach the pegboard in front of the legs. I also tried it with cable ties at one stage but didn't like the position. Yes I have used the paper towel accessory for my ribbons and actually have a roll of paper towels on one. I also have a lot of the little cups on the board for my glue gun sticks and other bits and pieces.i hope this all makes sense.

@@mary-rosesullivan5319 It does. Thanks so much for explaining. I have the smallest pegboard and had wondered about attaching it to my cart.

Do the cups hanging on the outside make your cart top heavy at all? May i ask where did you buy your kits from? Ty! Awesome organization btw!
@RebeccaKeppel4 жыл бұрын
The cups really don't make the cart top heavy per se. It is definitely harder to roll around with all that extra stuff in there! But the Raskog carts are so heavy duty they are not flimsy at the bottom at all so the extra weight on top doesn't make it seem like it could tip over. The We R Memory Keepers organizers and fridge bins are linked in the KZbin description box! :)

Rebecca Keppel thank you so much for the info. If someone could tip something over it would be me! Thats why i wanted to ask. Lol those just look so handy and so organized! My carts look like a couple bombs went off! Im looking into to them for sure! Love your channel!
