We have a tradition in Scotland (might be other parts of the UK too) where you take a piece of wood to your neighbour on New Year’s Day and it signifies offering something to keep their home warm and an offering to keep their fire burning. I think new year year is a great time to get to know your neighbours especially since you moved and then Christmas came along with all the busyness of that. It might be super lovely to get to know them at the start of the year! Sending so much love to you and your family for the holidays ❤

I was waiting for this one like I'd be waiting for Santa! 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍 I started watching it yesterday and I wanted to comment but of course I fell asleep and dreamt of Christmas lights and all😊😊😊 Interesting enough, I don't see any particular difference between these homes and those in Portland, Tennessee! I mean Susanville homes are just as bright and colorful and beautiful ! To me, they all look the same 😊😊😊 I sooooo much LOVE watching homes by night! Too much melee to make a video here. Some pics are being taken here and there. I'm so glad you love this video, Sorina. The houses are mostly the same from town to town. In this video I focused a bit more on stops and turns so we could get the turn signal sound more. Probably didn't need to do that for this particular video...Christmas lights being the main focus. If only our dreams came true all the time. Certainly in my life it has "not" been the case. The trick to joy and happiness is being content with what you have while you pursue your dreams and goals. But never let go of the hopes and dreams. It keeps us in forward motion. In my past, my worst enemy was self pity and depression. It was my own thoughts and emotions that needed to be changed and healed up. My own sense of entitlement and belief that I couldn't be happy unless...sabotaged my joy. Many support groups, therapy & prayer lifted me up. And not the least, faith. Even now my joy is not in success but in my peace and acceptance of life on lifes terms. John 16:33 (NIV) Bible: “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” Merry Christmas! 🤗🤗🤗

I’m not sure that they have this near where you live, but where I’m from in Cali (the valley) theres this place called “Candy Cane Lane”. It’s a bunch of beautiful large houses that are insanely decorated in Christmas lights 🎄and free for everyone to drive around. (It gets packed though)💗
