We got there early, but later on other people started to show up, and of course stood in the pathway blocking the view, but Dad managed to work around it. At one point there was even a family photoshoot at one of the nearby benches! 😂

Love the photo of your dad holding his painting at the end… he looks so happy! Beautiful painting from such an idyllic spot!! Lovely video ❤. I use an easel for acrylic painting and it doesn’t bother me to paint that way, but I’m not sure my brain could adjust to painting with watercolour in an upright position 😅. That must have taken a little time to adjust to as well! I’m so used to painting flat or holding a watercolour sketchbook to paint when it comes to watercolour.

I love this video.! The gardens are lovely and a perfect spot to use the pochade box. It seemed to work great for your dad and it is nice to see you together. The leather on the box looks really sturdy, but also luxurious. I think I want one more after this video, but my wallet does not😂

This was an operation to repair the break, as opposed to a full hip replacement (which couldn't be done due to the fractured femur), so there are differences in recovery. Breaks are worse than replacements! 😭
