if you keep the bearings oiled on the Lortone it should run better. I think the Rebel has sealed bearings.

Yes when I first got the LT66, it couldn't even keep one barrel running for more than a couple of days. I took it apart and soaked the bearings, shafts and motor in mineral spirits for several days. I oiled the bearings as well when putting it back together. After that, it was able to run one barrel reliably, but not two!

@@rocktime3627 I recently got a Rebel 17 and I think I like it better than the lortone 12. The Rebel has better bearings and seems to run cooler.

Hi! Did you solve the rubbing issue? We just put ours together and noticed the same thing.

The noise went away when I reoriented the machine. I haven't looked out for this issue lately however. If it's there, it's much quieter than the sound of a full barrel tumbling.

Can the leveling feet on the motor side be raised enough to center the barrel?
@rocktime36273 ай бұрын
Not sure what you mean? The barrel doesn't have a centering problem as far as I can tell.

What is the grit recipe for a rebel extreme 17 ? I know you use 1tablespoon of grit for every lb. of rock, but what about stage 2,3,4,5 ? Hoping someone has used this size of barrel and can instruct me on stages and amount. Sure will appreciate it.

I have only used it a few times so far, and one cup of grit seems to work. I only use it for stage 1 however.
