That is a REALLY interesting game - one of the most interesting new concepts I've seen in years actually. I've watched reviews/LPs of it and found myself rather captivated; in spite of the fact that next to nothing actually happens on-screen, lol. Also, the voice acting & script writing may be some of the best in the industry - really glad that they actually had the gonads to touch on topics like race and ethics in a historical war title; obviously very relevant topics during/in the Vietnam war

Agree mate, played this on mobile and it's really intense and fun on medium, I don't understand why making a bunch more maps is such a problem for them, if it had like 20-30 at least with a bunch more coming regularly it would be a must buy but it's still good as it is for sure.

I really enjoy playing this on a tablet and "role playing" so to speak, as someone who refuses to use airstrikes. Also, anyone unaware there is a mechanicals reason\difference for\caused by this. As the use of them impacts the game in a negative way as well as there more obvious positive\usefull impact (Regardless of your IRL thoughts on them, which really doesn't in the slightest matter right now, it's kind of a fun way to play)

Was enjoying the game for a bit but I keep finding that because you can't kill the insurgents unless you get them surrounded, you typically have multiple insurgent groups pop up. It's like nearly defeating the Taliban and then Isis pops up by the Capital and wipes you out.

This game is pretty good. Unlike Virus . -The map design makes it hard to find that magic 100% of the time successful buildup that you could in Virus. You learn a good way to win every time on a desert map? Switch to the maps with mountains and suddenly you tanks wont really cut it, need to find a new way

Have you played Combat Mission games, Mack? They are the pinnacle of hardcore military strategy. They only sell them on their own website because the niche of people who want that serious shit will find them somehow and people on Steam would just bash their game for old graphics and un-intuitive UI when the whole point is a hardcore realistic military strategy. And that is all that counts. I think you should review one of their games. Shock Force 2 being the latest.

Hey Mack, I’d love for you to take a look at AI Wars 2 now that it has finally left Early Access and received a full release (minus multiplayer which is coming soon). The tutorial fleet is bigger than the end game fleets of most space games, and the AI is almost definitely the best strategy AI I have ever faced off against. Thanks for the great reviews.

Honestly i disagree with you on this one i have been playing it on phone for week or two and done most of missions on hard and while it is fun and immersive game paying 15 euro for game with 5 maps is too much(not to mention that game is pretty much same as phone version) if they added 5 more maps than that would be fine but paying 15 euro just to play phone game on pc doesn't sound right to me.Not saying game is bad but it just feels like good 2-3 euro phone game.

It's a very drab and repetitive game. It's not really any kind of simulator. It's more of a whack of mole game that has no story or characters. There's no politics in the game despite it's theme. You just wait for money to up, inflation to go down, buy an upgrade and then chase rebels. Rinse and repeat.
